"I bought a rental policy with this company November 8, 2023. I canceled within a few days when I realized that I could not add my apartment complex to the policy. I paid $149, paid in full, and canceled it within 3 days. They only returned $49 and kept $100. If I had only paid the first monthly premium of $21. That's all they would have gotten from me but no, I paid in full. This company sucks. And after reading other reviews I'm glad I didn't have a claim to file. I would have been under the bus, such as I am now, at least I only lost a hundred $100 and not a whole house full of furniture. Crooks."

"Please read this! Do not choose them your home insurance provider. My roof was damaged by hail on April 5th, 2023. Their field staff claim adjuster Burney Timmerman denied my claim. I called them, and they told me the reason is because the damage was not significant enough. For example, "If your car has dent, it is not damage." The whole door has to be ripped off to be considered as "damage". This 100% scam."

"This organization is are frauds. You follow their in instructions and the still try an scam you. DO NOT USE them. You will regret it. I regret it. Filling complaint with Texas Insurance Board. Texas Fair Plans they are not. More like Texas Fraud Plans. Check other’s reviews more 1 stars than any other rating!!!"

"We've been w/Texas Fair Plan for a couple of years now due to a previous flood claim that was rather large--it drove up our rates past ridiculousness. Unfortunately, we recently had to file a wind/hail claim. Texas Fair Plan was the best. We had absolutely no problems with professionalism, communication, timeliness nor did we have any problems with the amount of the payout. (Unless your contractor is trying to quote an insane amount, there won't be a problem.) In fact, they paid very well and were timely. Our contractor even said Texas Fair Plan was one of the best insurance companies they've ever dealt with."
