"I tried this place recently, and nobody in southern Illinois has burgers that taste as good as Smitty's. If me or anyone in my family is craving a burger from somewhere other than home. I know exactly where I'm going! The worker at the window was very kind too. I'll definitely be coming back!"
"The wait time is pretty long with only 1 person in front of us in the drive through, but food was worth it if you’re not in a hurry. Order was made right & it was delicious. Would definitely visit again."
"Shrimp was so overcooked I didn't even eat them. Had to go back and ask for the cocktail sauce I ordered for the shrimp and the ranch for my mushrooms. Other customers were friendly at least."
"I arrived early enough the restaraunt wasn't busy yet. I was greeted warmly and the employee was very friendly. My order arrived quickly and was fresh and hot. I stuck with the basics: Single Smash Cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger was good--thin patty, melted cheese and fresh veggies, but the onion rings left room for improvement. They were bland and greasy. I would definitely order a burger again, but I would try something else alongside it. The building has had a bit of a face-lift inside with some paint and new tables with super comfy, extra-padding chairs. No more squishing into those uncomfortable booths! One dining room had a sign marking it "The Family Room" and was filled with family snapshots. Browsing the snapshots was a nice distraction while I waited for my food. The opposite side of the building's sign was "The Tiger Cage" and I could see old photographs of kids' sports teams. Overall a good experience here: good food, friendly people and a nice building. I will be back!"
