"Dr. Joseph Nania saw my daughter for about 5 minutes, ran no lab tests or anything diagnostic for her rash and charged us $500 for the appointment. I appealed to their office through my insurance but they would not adjust the amount owed. I'm a pediatric nurse and it makes me sad that doctors would take advantage of people like this - especially when it comes to getting medical care for our children."
"Dr. Marisol Fernandez was phenomenal. She spent a lot of time with us patiently answering our questions and thoroughly explaining her thinking. She really listened and thought about things before answering. She showed us all of my daughter's labs, explained them, showed us the progression over time, explained in a clear, easy-to-understand way what her thoughts were about them. She was confident and humble enough to admit the things she had no answers for. (I felt confident that probably no one could.) Dr. Fernandez is also very kind. We had other attending doctors and residents from Infectious Disease who worked with us during our stay at the hospital too and they were all wonderful as well. Dr. Fernandez and all of them are very intelligent and good at what they do."
