"I enjoy living at The Gala. It is convenient to Dallas and Ft. Worth. We have a community of residents that is warm and friendly. There are a variety of amenities and services available, such as a work out room, pool, food pantry, hair salon and a community room where people gather to enjoy different activities and events. "I gave one star because there was not an option to select a zero. In early January, I visited The Gala at Oak Crest Estates in Euless, TX. I was very impressed. I immediately decided that this would be the senior community I would move to, upon availability. A couple of weeks ago, I went online to express my interest. I filled out the proper form. I was contacted, via email, suggesting that I start the application process in order to reserve a space on the waitlist. On yesterday, February 18, 2019, at approximately 4:40p.m., I stopped by to pay the application fee and take the next steps in the process. When we walked into the lobby, someone, and I say someone because I did not see the person, closed the door to the office. Oh I wish someone else had been there! It was too obvious. We approached the door. There was a sign on the wall that read, “Open, Come In”. My daughter was with me. She attempted opening the door, and not only had they closed it, they had locked it. I’m sure they didn’t think we saw them close the door. Sorry, we did! Last I checked, Leasing Agents are hired to secure and retain residents. Well, Allied Orion, your agent that was working on 02/18/2019, between the hours of 4:30p.m. and 5:00p.m., caused you to lose a very good, dependable, clean, quiet, on-time-paying resident. They need to be fired. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received without ever receiving it. According to the website, the office is open until 6p.m., Monday-Friday. The sign displayed in the local office states they close at 5:30p.m. I’m puzzled as to why the person, behind the door, did not choose to face us and simply say, we’re busy right now. Can you come back tomorrow, or anything besides closing the door in our face? If this is how a potential resident is treated, I can only imagine how the current residents are ignored. Epic fail! I would not recommend living at Gala at Oak Crest Estates in Euless, TX. I have zero tolerance for ill-treatment. I am worth more. Gala, you are not the only senior living community in this area."
