"So far so good! I’ve been here about one month and I have no complaints. Rachel and Sheila are pretty responsive to issues and are kind. The complex itself is very clean, likely due to their strict guidelines for trash, recycling, noise, etc. It always smells so good in the halls. The walls are somewhat thin for the amount I pay a month, but it’s not horribly loud. Just noticeable. They say it is on the medical center grid and they didn’t lose power during the freeze. Room: I live in one of the studios and it’s a nice amount of space with a balcony. Maintenance: Pretty quick response and able to fix any of the issues I’ve had so far. Gym: It’s amazing. It’s basically got everything a big gym would have, plus a spin and yoga studio with a tv filled with pre-recorded workouts. Mail: The mail system is pretty good, although sometimes Amazon doesn’t follow instruction and packages are left out. Parking: There are plenty of spots around the building, but if your guest wants to park in the garage, you only get one pass per 24 hours. They have to park in the marked spots on the top floor. Pool: It’s beautiful and even though it’s winter, it has heaters in the entrance with some nice seating so you can still sit out there with friends. Courtyard: So cute with yard activities. Since it’s winter, I haven’t been out there much, but they do have firepits and big TVs, plus I believe there is a grill. Overall, a nice place to live and worth the money in my opinion. I was willing to spend a bit more just due to the fact that I work from home. Edit after moving out: I really loved living here a lot. I ended up resigning a two bedroom lease with my friend the year after I lived in the studio and that was another great experience. I will add though that towards the end, the gate would stop working a lot and they added another app (making it two apps, Butterfly and Dwelo) to control access to the building and the apartment. I really preferred the key fobs. As far as location, I never really had a bad experience. I saw some reviews that stated run ins with homeless people. There are a lot of the same crowd of people who walk up and down Magnolia. They will typically leave you alone. JPS does have some patients that wander near the complex, but I lived there 2 years and I never had an issue at all with any of them!"
"DO NOT MOVE HERE! From the day we moved in, until the day we broke lease 4 months early, this apartment was an absolute nightmare. It started on day 1 when I was blatantly lied to by the leasing office that I would be able to park my motorcycle (3rd vehicle) for free, they attempted to charge me an extra $50 until I proved that they had told me otherwise. Two weeks later, the manager used the master key to open my apartment and just walk in because “She wasn’t aware anyone had moved in”… excuse me how? In May my AC went out and management refused to do anything until my apartment was over 85°, then they put a “temporary fix” and gave me the run around until I finally gave up. During the summer, we had a homeless man lock himself inside the trash chute and become violent, forcing FWPD to come handle the situation. They didn’t hesitate to tow my truck the night I changed from temp plates to metal plates because that voided the garage registration (Sure, technically my fault but really? The same day?) When the garage gate broke, it was just permanently stuck in the “up” position for weeks which resulted in my truck and another truck both being stolen from the parking garage and not 2 weeks later my motorcycle was vandalized. I have been charged at and threatened by an angry homeless man while walking my dog. Management and corporate felt like the only reasonable solution was to let me out of my lease with a 60 day notice, which obviously meant nothing because then they forgot I was moving out early and failed to pro-rate my last month’s rent. The management of this apartment as an entirety is absolutely incompetent. Do NOT waste your money. Ft Worth has too many other living opportunities for you to make the same mistake I did by becoming a resident here."
"Between the doors not working and safety hazards, I don’t feel safe here. The gate has been opened for anyone and everyone to come in. Last night I came home around 9pm, ready to eat and sleep from a hard days worth of work, and without fail, the doors wouldn’t open. Luckily a person was coming out and let me in, but these are the daily troubles we go through for $1300 a month. The people driving up and down the garage are also really reckless. They drive at about 20 MPH and don’t even have their lights on and don’t stop until your car is so close to getting hit. i It’s happened quite a few times already. They need better security enforced here. All they care about is money but they won’t take the time to fix the doors. Bring back keys or give out key fobs cause that app glitches consistently."
"I enjoy living here, it is simple living, I keep to myself and I never encounter any issues. The staff hosts many small events which is nice, although I've never attended any. As of recently, you are required to have at least 3 different apps on your phone to navigate the building. Key fobs were a blessing, but since the management moved towards an app to unlock all the doors and gates, living here has been somewhat of a bad dream. Besides the fact that I have to distract myself with my phone while driving to unlock my garage door, good luck getting into your flood if your phone is dead. I had to walk from my floor many times all the way around the building, just to find a call box I can use to put in my pin and be able to access the building. This Texas heat is not kind, and I am not enjoying the experience so far. If they do not switch back to fob or install more call boxes around the building, I will be moving out. Many other residents feel the same way."
