"I moved here when the complex first opened, at the time I was getting out of an abusive marriage and I have four children. We were happy in the beginning until I gotten really sick due to my complications being diabetic, during this time rent went up twice and my health further declined. I know it’s a business and only money talks, but this is one of the reasons for homelessness and the apt is not even big enough for our furniture. My rent is 1377, my sister has a bigger grander apt and pays 1100 same number or bedrooms and bathrooms and not on any housing. The roach infestation is horrible as well no matter how clean you live. Wish I wasn’t recovering from surgery at the time my previous lease had expired otherwise I would’ve moved to my sisters apt complex now my children and I are facing eviction. Definitely learned my lesson and should’ve questioned why all of my neighbors were moving out so quickly and so many units are empty now. They love to comment back on reviews in rude “as a matter of fact” way. Idc I voiced my opinion any maybe God has something better planned for us."
"Raised the rent last year on everyone mid-lease by $100 because it was "based on the area's cost of living." I know it's not the office's fault, but the company they work for, but it's still ridiculous. Other than that, living here has been fairly decent/mid."
"There is a German cockroach infestation on the ground floor. I discovered this within a week of living there and having found both nymph and adult cockroaches on a daily basis. Upon further inspection, I also found casings and droppings within most of the outlets and inside the water heater. In addition to that, my apartment smelled like smoke on a regular basis. No amount of cleaning, pest control, etc. would get rid of either issue. There was also an issue of cleanliness around the property. On more than one occasion, I witnessed homeless people digging through the dumpsters and there was almost always trash bags ripped open with their contents spread across the ground. The entrance to the building has also smelled like human urine. I understand both are a result of issues of homelessness in the area but it really makes living there unpleasant. This is my experience, I know others in the complex who have not had such a negative one. On a positive note, Jessica is a great manager and handled all of my requests/concerns in a timely, understanding, and professional manner. She really is a pleasure to work with. The leasing office let me out of my lease without penalty due to my concerns of habitability which I am very grateful for."
"I have been living here for about 7 months now & it’s been great! We have a key card that makes it easy & safe for only residents to come in the building. There is food places & shopping that are literally walking distance from here & it’s also near downtown & have easy access to highways so that’s pretty convenient! Jessica the office manager is super sweet. She made the application process super easy for me. Jessica also does cute little events for us like movie nights. They also have a small gym & a computer room for us to use. The apartments have a very nice new & modern look & even have washer dryer connection! Over all i recommend cielo place."
