Monticello Oaks Townhomes Apartments

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here! We’ve stayed for about a year and unfortunately we had to move out earlier than we wanted because of what I do for work. This is a small community and almost everyone knows or knows of each other. Jeff is a maintenance one man army! He’s super quick and efficient. And all request are taken care of relatively quickly. As far as the townhome itself like others have said they are on the older side but good luck finding anywhere with attached garages and spacious floorplans. I’d much rather have space than a cramped modernized home. Keep in mind also that people have to move out to renovate so if anything this shows that everyone is happy with their stay here! Ms Candy is an EXCELLENT community manager. She’s always in office and attentive to all residents needs. She sends regular emails to keep you informed about any changes. The only small gripes I’ve had are more of me nitpicking. Parking seems to be limited on some areas of the property. So maybe be prepared to park away from your home. Another nitpick is that there are some small noticeable cosmetic damages but nothing too detrimental.(as in having to call maintenance to fix) Most of the damage is limited to small scratches and chipped floorboards or squeaky stairs but I’ve lived in many apartments and I found very few that are in perfect condition. And out of all of the ones I’ve stayed in these are the most well kept. So if you’re able to overlook those small imperfections I’d definitely recommend. All and all we loved this place and if it were up to us we’d stay longer! And who knows when we return we’d more than likely look up this place first!"

"I have only lived here three weeks and have had a heck of a time getting management to address a few maintenance issues for me. It appears they’re is one person managing and one maintenance worker. The touch up paint is embarrassing in the apartment as well. They are very dated as well. AND you could only expect upon move in that the garage would at least be swept out if not power washed. This goes for garage door as well. Greasy hand prints all over it. I would not recommend for the rental cost."

"I have lived here for just short of a year now. I have been pleased with the responsiveness of the management and maintenance staff across the board. I have rarely had any problems reaching them. Yes, these townhomes are older. No, they have not been updated to contemporary styles. However, the management and maintenance people do not set those standards, the owners do. I deducted one star for ownership that fails to invest in a property that is so perfectly situated. The grounds are kept clean and plants are maintained by a service. Any problems we have had with our unit, Jeff has been quite prompt in resolving, even to the extent of working in 100 degree heat on our AC unit when it quit, and bringing us a portable AC unit until outside service could be brought in. The neighborhood is quite convenient to the Cultural District and Museum District without the traffic and noise associated with them. We walked to various pubs and restaurants. As for the complaints about 2023 prices for 1990's apartments, this is an older neighborhood, but it's also a very attractive neighborhood. Prices reflect that. And there was no other property in the area that offered an attached 2 car garage at this price point. Houses in Monticello rent for upwards of $3k a month. All in all, I would live here again."

"I can't express how great the experience has been to reside here. Jeff, head of maintenance is nothing short of Superman. Literally, nothing he is not capable of. Very speedy and leaves no job incomplete. The staff, Mrs. Candy, has helped me in so many ways. I won't go into too much detail but she is very attentive, helpful and is always looking to extend services as far and wide as possible. She even offered a smooth transfer to alleviate an ongoing issue for me. It has been an amazing experience so far. Very small community; my neighbors are also great. Highly recommend!"

"DO NOT MOVE HERE. you will be paying 2023 prices for 1990's living, They need a serious remodel and new appliances. One of my cabinets broke and they GLUED it back together. wow! They make up rules as they go and seem to be quite racist. I am a hispanic woman who is constantly being harassed with complaints about things that other lighter complected people are doing, like letting their dogs lounge on the balcony. Apparently I'm not allowed to because my dog barks. and that's only one of the issues I have with this place. Save yourself the hassle and frustration and go live somewhere else. I cannot wait until my lease is up. I put one star because I had to, to post this. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED AND YOU'RE WELCOME! *dont buy that fake reply, they DO NOT CARE!!"
