Kennedy Ridge Apartments 5525 4th Street, Lubbock, TX 79416

"Those who run and operate Kennedy Ridge do NOT do their job. The property is never taken care of properly. They "bandage" the things that need repair. I loved there 5 1/2 years and 4 of them my a/c leaked. One professional HVAC guy said it needs to be replaced. My front door was never sealed properly even after a storm that caused flooding into my entryway. The latest PM was stealing from me by charging late fees for what was paid in advance. I stopped pre paying and that bill the amount returned to normal for a few months. I was promised on several accounts PM would be in the office yet the PM was never there. Now I have a SUBLET fee against me when I was given a notice stating that my lease was up it was a six weeks notice, yet I had a copy of the lease that I signed proving it all a lie. Charging a sublet fee after the lease is cancelled is illegal. I followed advice from my Attorneys to go ahead and move so I did. Living there at Kennedy Ridge Apts is stressful and an unsafe environment. If you are concerned about your well being emotional and physically I strongly advice you live somewhere else. In the time I lived there I lost count of how many times the police were there for arrest and other law breakers, it was frequent. Also the picture of a nice looking yard with flowers is false advertising. That's illegal. They do not take care of the yard. A whole year passed without anyone mowing etc. There were a few of us who lived there we decorated and made gardens to improve and make life there a bit better. The amount of rent being charged is way over priced. It's barely livable. The plumbing is always being "worked" on and I had requested several times for my windows to be calked. It never happened. I had to insulate the windows myself. So if you like being in danger if you are okay with that if you don't care about being lied to and stolen from, if you don't care that when they do "inspections" that they touch, move, take your stuff, or leave your stove on, (which can cause a fire and destroy your belongings) and go through your things and fridge well more power to you friend. I personally experienced all this. Others have told me much of the same. Those who are in charge of KR should be in a lot of hot water with the law."
