"Modern/new design hotel. Room was nice. Bed was softer than I like but I prefer a very firm bed. Upon first entering the room the TV was on with a welcome screen with my first name on it (nice personal touch). Pretty standard “hot” breakfast with omelettes, bacon, potatoes, muffins, cereal, waffles, yogurt, and fresh apples/bananas. Really appreciated them having *3* waffle irons (one of them makes waffles shaped like Texas) so you didn’t have to wait very long for a waffle. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Decent fitness center. Had full range of dumbbell weights which I appreciated during my morning workout. Great value for the money. Will be back for sure next time I need a room in Lubbock!"

"We stayed at this Hampton Inn while visiting Texas Tech for the first time. The hotel is across the highway. The room was clean and spacious. They had a clever shower design where the handle is at the opposite end from the shower head. No cold blast! The breakfast was the typical Hampton breakfast - some type of eggs, potato, and meat; self make waffles, juice, yogurt, breads, muffins, etc. We faced the apartments so there was no road noise. We only heard road noise one time. If you get a room facing the highway, I hope you are not a light sleeper."

"The only downside to this location for me is the proximity to the highway and a higher level of noise from the road than I preferred. It was otherwise a great experience. The patio with the big screen television was a great place for my friends to watch the football game. From checking in to checking out, it was a great experience. I will visit this location again."
