About Us
CommUnityCare is a health institution located at 15 Waller Street in Austin, Texas, United States. Our mission is to strengthen the health and well-being of the communities we serve. We have recently been named a Top Workplace for 2024 by USA Today, recognizing our efforts to build a great culture for our employees.
In an ongoing effort to expand health care access in Eastern Travis County, we have transitioned our in-person medical mobile services to brick-and-mortar locations at Creedmoor Community Center and Barbara Jordan Elementary School. This allows us to effectively serve our patients and provide a wider range of services.
Our Street Medicine Team provides primary health care services to unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness, reaching a total of 4,765 homeless patients in 2023. We are dedicated to breaking down barriers to equitable access to care and providing comprehensive services regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
At CommUnityCare Health Centers, we celebrate diversity and are committed to providing excellent care while respecting the values and beliefs of our patients. "Imagine a dark alley in the hood you can go where somebody will pull all your teeth for $10. That's this place except it's a busted, old, dirty building that looks like something out of a Steven King novel. Flies on the equipment table, a strange foul stench in the waiting room, and although the staff was very nice, it only makes you feel bad that they're doomed to work in this Hall of Horrors. If there is ANY WAY AT ALL you can avoid this place and manage something better for yourself, I advice you save yourself from this nightmare."
