Cedar Park Physician Associates-Avery Ranch

"Concern was a very red and swollen right shin wound. My appointment was 15 minutes prior to clinic lunch hour. Dr McGaugh did a very cursory exam wound but no physical exam as to extent of swelling, diagnosed condition as cellulitis, prescribed antibiotics and instructed me to get back with him if I did not see significant improvement by weekend. I was given no guidance as to wound care, swelling or pain. He was in and out in 2 minutes! When I called the clinic Friday morning about the continuing pain, swelling and discharge I was told the doctor was off and apparently without any back up. I sent photos to the patient portal but as of midday Monday no call from anyone. I have already contacted a new primary care physician!"

"Made an appointment to be seen due to concern over having an ear infection and mentioned I may also be pregnant. Was scheduled wrong and given an appointment with the nurse. They scheduled me with a different location and scheduled me for the wrong time than the one I had agreed to. I showed up to the other location and lo and behold, find out that the original location won't see me (they didn't tell me this part, I had to find out from the location they scheduled me at to be seen elsewhere) because they refuse to see anyone who may be or is pregnant. So I've had all my stuff transferred to a different location and I am so thankful the second location was able to squeeze me in despite the poor scheduling and communication from this location. So ladies...if you think you may be pregnant or are pregnant...don't bother with this location."

"Great experience once I actually got into the office for a visit, but calling and scheduling an appointment was more difficult than it probably should have been because I ended up having it mis-scheduled due to miscommunication. No big deal but frustrating nonetheless."

"Made an appointment on their website and got confirmation email for the appointment. Arrived to the office 45 minutes before the appointment, and the receptionist said the appointment was cancelled because the doctor was not taking new patients at the moment. They said they tried to reach me, I said there is no calls or messages at all, I asked for the phone number in file and the receptionist replied by changing one number from 6 to 5. I checked my confirmation email they sent and my number was correct. Clearly the receptionist was trying to cover up by making it look the number was wrong. I would recommend to find a different office with more honest people."

"Everyone was professional and pleasant. My appointment was at 3p and my nurse practitioner was not able to make it into the room until 4:09p. Some tests were ran and results were brought into me, with my diagnoses and treatment plan."
