La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Braunfels

"Really enjoyed staying here until I come back to the room from being gone all day and my door is just wide open and they are fixing carpet. No call no text no attempt was made to notify me that all my personal belongings are in the wide open while random guys work in the hall and room. Extremely unprofessional and all the manager had to say was “oh I’m sorry” yes thank you that makes me feel better that you let people into the room with all my belongings with no attempt to notify. Would rather sleep in my truck then stay here again."

"Stayed here for a week. The staff is great. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is decent. My only complaint is that you can leave your pets unattended all day there. I felt like I was in a dog kennel at times. I could hear dogs barking up and down the hall from my room all day long."

"Made reservations two weeks in advance for out of town guests for thanksgiving. Was not told then or anytime that entire hotel would be undergoing complete renovations. Entire ground floor closed (1st floor room had been assured), some rooms available on upper floor with one end of hall in the process of being painted during the stay and the other end fresh wet paint (overwhelming odor/dampness). Only one person could stand the smell, basically causing big problems for others with last minute alternate plans having to be made. Never trust these people again and had been a long time proponent for all LaQuintas when traveling. Never again!"

"Motel was being renovated and the floors were torn up. However, staff made sure to help getting around the lobby safely. All things considered, I would definitely stay here again. Room was clean and comfortable."

"We checked in after a long 10 hour driving day only to find the hotel under going a complete construction renovation. When I called the hotel directly earlier that day, no mention was made of the construction mess. We were exhausted from a long day especially after spending the last half hour maneuvering through evening traffic just to get through the last mile to the hotel. The lobby was in complete disarray, the floor covered with dust from the work being done. The only positive was Yvana, the desk clerk who could not have been sweeter and kinder. She personally led us through a maze of construction chaos, showing us how we had to step so we didn't disturb newly laid floor tiles. She also had another employee bring our bags to the room since we couldn't use a cart on the new floor. When I went to check out in the morning I voiced my displeasure at the conditions and was told to call back later and speak to a manager. When I called back I was told the manager wasn't there. I left my name and phone number but was told she couldn't guarantee I would get a call back. I'm sure things will be better in a few weeks but it wasn't a very inviting setting to come to for a couple of weary travelers"
