"They sent my mammogram test results to an email I never gave them. Their policy is to only send ONE email, even if they made a mistake, so I can't get my own medical report that they sent to a complete stranger. The technician was rude and cold. Go somewhere else, anywhere else."

"I have been going to Solis for a couple years up in North Texas, and this was my first time at the Austin location. I was expecting the same experience as always for my routine ultrasound. The staff was friendly and the procedure itself went fine. The issue I’m having is with the billing of the appointment. First red flag was the large bill over $1,000 they quoted me for the appointment. Right away I was confused why I was receiving a bill in the first place because I NEVER had to pay for this exact procedure. But the lady said once she ran the insurance the cost would go down, so I assumed once she did that it would show my insurance would cover my procedure like always. I had my procedure and went back to the front desk to get checked out. The lady “ran” my insurance again and it brought the bill down to $775. I was confused because, again, my insurance has always covered this leaving me with NO COST. I figured she knew what she was doing so I went with it. In hinds sight I should have questioned her because she sounded like she was having a difficult time doing anything on that computer so I don’t know why I assumed she was a qualified source to be handling my money. We called the insurance and they assured me that the procedure was covered at 100% and I should have not been charged. I’ve been calling Solis, St. David’s, and any billing department I can get a hold of to get a refund. Unfortunately Solis Mammography only has one number for the entire company and any time I try to get in contact with this direct location I am left at a dead end. I’m currently disputing the charge with my bank because this place honestly robbed me of $775! UPDATE: After a month of calling and going in circles with different billing departments, and filing claims with my bank, insurance, and the Better Business Bureau, I’m now receiving my refund. Overall this should not have taken so long and I was not at all happy with the service or the attentiveness to issue from the staff at this Solis location. In the future, I plan on driving three hours back to North Texas for good service. Thank god for the lady in the billing department at the hospital getting my money back. The billing department person agreed that there was NO REASON for that extreme charge."

"Competent technical service; poor customer service. Upon check-in the insurance information was wrong, and I was asked to sign a form agreeing with the wrong information and a charge of over $500. I refused, and was told to sign the form and the error would be corrected “on the computer”. I continued to refuse and a supervisor was called so I had to reiterate the necessary correction and insist the proper information be recorded. This exchange occurred at the check-in desk in front of other patients in the waiting room, who could hear every word spoken. That’s a HIPAA violation. Previously, patients were taken to a private office for the intake procedure. Solis instructs that valuables be left in the lockers in the changing area, but combinations for the locks are not distributed, so valuables are at-risk. Rather than a report with findings I received a form letter suggesting that I consult my physician. I will not return to Solis."
