Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Worth Downtown, an IHG Hotel

"IHG hotel located near the Ft Worth Convention center. Good: Staff is awesome and keeps it clean and are helpful. Hotel lobby is clean as is the room. Bed is comfortable. They serve breakfast from 7-10, nothing fancy but it is a nice selection. Not so good: Holiday inn express that doesn't have a snack or drink in the evening. They did have hot chocolate if you wanted that. The room: Clean and comfortable. Bathroom was ok, and the water to the tub would never turn off. Warm, not hot, shower, didn't matter the time of day. Toilet slowly filled back up after a flush. No hand soap. Parking lot not big enough for a 6 floor hotel that was full the weekend we were there."

"Checked into the hotel and as soon as we went into the room it had vomit or food or something in the carpet. Their were little black things all over the carpet and the bathroom was also dirty. Not a great part of town as their parking signs say. "Park at your own risk" and when we checked out about two minutes after we got there, they lied about the state of the room and refused to do a refund. Worst hotel experience."

"Nice hotel near Downtown Fort Worth (upper downtown). Large lobby area to meet with family. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Rooms are bright colors with updated lighting. Was told that the hotel was recently updated. The parking is ok, but at night watch your back because of the homeless lurking around and asking for money. You have two options for parking...underground and on top of the underground garage. The night Auditor, he was very friendly, welcoming and answered a few questions about downtown. The morning staff was friendly as well. The bonde female offered a bottle of water at check out. Great customer service."

"The Holiday Inn in Fort Worth on Lancaster is intuitively placed so that wherever you want to go - it’s not too far off. This is a downtown hotel so you might expect an up-charge where other Holiday Inns are just glad to see you, this one has the motivation to make sure the house light bill is paid. This one charges for parking, and I gotta tell you even though I paid extra - finding a spot was tough. Another charming aspect to lodging downtown are the homeless panhandlers who sleep out in the open but hide in shadows and sheltered areas to confront you for money when awake. This place needs but doesn’t have uniformed security on location, well if they did, they sure weren’t working the parking lot area. Staff was polite. When we checked in their computers were down and there was a bit of a wait. The hallway area for floor six didn’t have any central air running, you can imagine a hotel floor in Texas without any air conditioning? Well you flat out must imagine it because no one in modern day Texas would allow that to happen. But this place did. The rooms were nice, the bedding was inviting. My wife got up and had the continental breakfast. I have no idea why they call it a Continental Breakfast. Someone clue me in. Anyway she was pleased with “the abundance of breakfast” and asked me to cite it as a plus."
