"Nice small practice with friendly staff and is able to see my dog relatively quickly when needed."
"Good caring people here, a bit pricey aft tines bit it evens out I think. Make sure when you make your appointment that your fave Vet isn't volunteering that day, not too in love with the sub Vet, but still was considerate, and professional, see. Spoiled I am I guess. :/"
"We have 2 cats that we've been taking to Cherokee for the last couple of years. We decided to adopt a kitten off the streets, but before bringing her into our home we wanted her checked for spreadable diseases, including ticks and mites, whatever can be spread to our other cats. Kitten was given a full bill of health and we brought her home. My oldest cat started having issues with her ear about a month after we had her home. I took her here, they gave me drops due to the inflammation of the ear and told me to bring her back in a week. I brought her back, the infection had cleared, and with the naked eye the vet said "allergies." Well, since we had gotten the kitten I had changed their food, so I upgraded the food. Oldest cat continued to get ear infections, I'd treat with drops, it'd subside, then another infection would flare up. My middle cat ended up with a hot spot on her side. In a panic I called a different vet and got both hot spot and ear infection in. The oldests ear was so bad, they can't even see her ear drum. They said they didn't want to prescribe drops because they need the ear drum to be clear to locate a diagnosis. Wanna know what caused the ear infections? EAR MITES! From patient zero, young street kitty! One of the things we brought her HERE to be tested for, and we were told it was allergies in our oldest cat. Now we're fighting mite infestation with all 3 cats, plus treating my eldest for the big problem. I will never take my cats here again! To think my cats have been fighting bugs in their ears for almost a year now breaks my heart. Don't make the same mistake we did! Don't take your pet here."
"When my cat was hit by a car I brought him to Cherokee for his follow up care and they were so helpful and good to us (and Ironically he had just gotten his annual checkup at Cherokee a few hours before his accident and the checkup was also a good experience as always). I had a lot of questions and concerns and they made sure all bases were covered to assure he healed 100%. At one point when still soley referring to the emergency vet for help, I couldn't get Blue to eat at all and I was afraid him not eating would cause his liver to shut down. After the emergency vet not having much suggestions other than to try different foods or to check him back into the emergency animal hospital to stay, I called Cherokee and one of the vet techs/receptionist (not sure exactly her title and wish I caught her name) suggested the pain medicine he had been prescribed might be upsetting his stomach and making him not eat. I stuck with them for his follow-up care from there on out. She was correct and I appreciate that so much, so thank you for having spot on intuition and knowing your stuff. We are all so thankful for you guys taking such good care of Blue."
"Extremely overpriced! Also, if you want your cat described as “disruptive and loud” after a neutering and being away from his owners for eight hours (well... duh!) go here I guess. The lady who took my cat inside, instead of being glad I brought a bed and some food and toys for him, commented that “You’re acting like he’s staying here overnight!”. Really rude. Very unprofessional handling of my cat, he’s extremely sweet with everyone and loved being held by our last vet, but here when I came to pick him up he fought the nurse tooth and nail. It makes me believe that he wasn’t treated correctly while we weren’t watching. We were given almost NO information and I had to pry for any answers. The staff seems almost irritated that they have to do their jobs. None of them strike me as pet owners or people who really love animals. All of the other bad reviews are extremely believable after my experience. We’re switching to another vet from now on."
