"We have taken our dogs to House Vets For House Pets & Rover the Rhine for the last 6 years. They always take great care of us and make everything as convenient as possible."
"Great place to take your animal family. It is a stress free place. Always accompanied my ever changing work travel. My pet always is extremely excited to go back."
"I took my two cats in for check-ups and vaccines last September so that they would be able to be boarded when we planned to be out of town for a couple of nights. When I called to get them in, they asked me for information about the cats such as their names, ages, and whether they were male or female. One of the cats came to our family as a stray kitten and so we guessed female—very fluffy, and I’m no pro. The vet did an examination in their back room; I did not see what they did or didn’t do. Now nearly a year has passed and I found out the cat is male. How did they do a full examination on my cat and not correct me on the fact that he is male, not female? I don’t like that, it makes me wonder what else they might miss, and we have found another vet. However, I left stars on because the staff is incredibly nice. I enjoyed chatting with the lady at the front desk and she helped me when my hands were full. Edit: Thanks for the response—no strong feelings in particular; I received a reminder recently from the office to have them come in, and that, along with the new information about my boy that I just got a few weeks ago, was what prompted the review. The experience at the office was really great and I had no problem with it until just now finding out that my queen is really a king and wondering how the previous associate didn’t catch that. Thanks for explaining."
"This wasn't my 1st choice on places to take my 2 new cats only bc I've never been there. Thing is, other places near me aren't taking new patients due to staff & Dr shortages. I do like the place, the staff, & The Dr. A bit on the high side in costs but I do believe they know what they're doing. I needed to get my 2 new cat rescues established at a vets in case anything happened. This is a good place"
"First & foremost, thank you Dr. Cat & staff for seeing Nutmeg as quickly as you did. A little background first. Nutmeg adopted us back in 2002. A beautiful Himalayan with a robust personality and always eager for mischief and play. With only a minor health issue 2 years ago, [allergies}, she has, fortunately, always been the picture of health. She jumps on the bed EVERY morning at 5:30 and put her chin under mine and lifts my head to announce "it's breakfast time". If that fails she then proceeds to do a "Led Zepplin" drum solo on my chest to remind me "who owns who". Somehow my wife escapes this pre-dawn ritual but that is another story. She loves ping pong balls, crunchy, crackle paper, her fish tanks, [yes, we bought her 2 aquariums] and the list goes on. However, around mid January 2019 her demeanor and appearance started to change. Last week, she stopped eating for 3-4 days and was barely taking in water. She even stopped using her litter box since she wasn't taking in food. We thought because of her age, that it was probably getting close to [that decision] we all dread. We called House Vets for House Pets to schedule an exam a.s.a.p. We took her in the next day and during the exam, it was discovered that she had lost half of her normal weight, was now blind in one eye and suffering hearing loss. We were preparing ourselves for the worst news possible, and then after the blood test came in, it was determined she also suffers from feline hyperthyroidism. Our dear friend was losing on all fronts. We were crushed. Now to the point of this review.and why we recommend House Vets for House Pets. We all want the same professional, caring treatment for our pets that we expect for ourselves. I grew up during a time when people used "word of mouth" to help those looking for products or services that would benefit their lives. Today we "write reviews". Since we live only a few blocks away, it is geographically convenient but more importantly, the entire caring, professional staff and the medical services provided by House Vets, are above the industry standard in all respects. Dr. Cat, [yeah, cute nickname huh?] calmly addressed all the possibilities, conditions, treatment etc.for Nutmeg's disabilities and illness. Along with her outstanding professionalism, she also provided us, the support we, as 'pet parents" needed at that time. Dr. Cat helped even further getting Nutmeg her prescription, by contacting the local "compounding pharmacy" allowing us a head start on the required medication. The next couple of days they kept in contact with us to check up on her progress Now, a Nutmeg update, 5 days later 2-10-2019 The night we brought her home she moaned and moaned, she would take little bites of her food but not enough to ease our worry. Now... Nutmeg has the appetite of 2 cats. Her attitude and health are improving, (although she woke me up at 4:30 this morning). So, if you have a pet and are looking for a great Veterinarian with a great staff, we recommend House Vets for House Pets. Thank you Dr. Cat, Nancy, Becca & Lindsie, (she's going to be mad if I spelled that wrong) and everyone at House Vets. Without you, we would be, without her."
