"We were visiting from out of town and thought a cooking class would be a fun activity. Liisa and John’s class without a doubt exceeded our expectations. They are such a fun couple and we had a great group of co-students as well. After a long weekend in Asheville, Shellei and I both agreed that this class was the highlight of an awesome vacation."
"We had a good time. The problem is they told us to get there 15-20 minutes early because they start right on time. We were there early and a few people were late. They delayed the class by over 1/2 hour to wait for the people who were late. One lady asked for a glass of wine while we waited and was rudely dismissed. when the class started late, it was rushed so we could finish on time... No apologies, Nothing. the actual class was an ok experience, but there is no way the whole class should have waited over a half an hour for the few that could not make it on time. Unacceptable!"
"We did the date night and had no idea of what to expect. We had a great time, so much fun and educational. The chef was so personable and talked with each of the 14 couples. He made the evening with his discussions, explanations and little jokes. And he was able to work around diet restrictions. We will definitely do this again. The food we made was great and the wine made for a relaxing evening."
"Great date night, especially with the complimentary wine included with our meal! The menu for our meal was phenomenal and led by a Secrets of Louisville Chef from Sullivan University. I do recommend that you pay close attention to the level of class you’re signing up for though. We wanted to do more cooking, but the level we signed up for had some things already pre-prepared for us. The visual set up is nice and easy to follow. However, my wife and I’s only hang up was the amount of elbow room between us and the neighboring couples. They could do better to space you out, not just for COVID sake, but for cooking space."
"Best Date Night EVER! Food, Atmosphere, and Instructors were all top notch. I had been wanting to do a cooking class at Cooking at the Cottage for awhile now, and am so happy I finally purchased a date night. My husband and I throughly enjoyed ourselves and were able to easily follow along with the instructor to prepare our date night dishes. The food was incredibly good and I can't wait to try another class again soon."
