"I lived here for a little over a year and had a horrible experience. The unit was old, dilapidated, and gross. I had to dry clean clothes I never wore because of how bad the smoke smell was. Neighbors were very inconsiderate as well. It took three tries and threats to management just get a real exterminator to get rid of cockroaches. Management will find any way to keep security deposit too. Living here made me more depressed than I have ever been. DON’T LIVE HERE!!"
"Pros: Close to the University of Kentucky and Public Transportation, Good area, no crimes. Reasonable price until you renew your lease, but I recommend this apartment for college students, but only stay for a year. Cons: I’ve been having problems with my pipes since I moved here. When I moved in it was December which means its going to be cold and the pipes are known to freeze which is understandable. However, you can clearly see the tub has a crack and can feel the cold breeze blowing through, so my pipes were constantly freezing during the winter. Now, it’s summer time and I am still having problems with the piping, but this time its constantly leaking. The gas/electric apartments are old, it’s time to renovate the bathrooms. I’m glad I have family close by because there has been a bunch of times when tub pipes stopped working, and I had to take a shower at my family members house. The plumbing company came because my bathtub piping completely stopped and the plumbers were at my apartment for over 3-4hours fixing it. Its hard to sleep at night because the flooring is old, I can hear everything that the people above me are doing, its soo loud and squeaky, I know when they are opening their closet door, every step they take the floor squeaks- that’s ridiculous!"
"Older property, not well maintained. The rent is cheaper than the other apartments that are close to campus (the ONLY reason I came here), but the place badly needs renovations & updated amenities. Thin walls & floors mean you can hear everything your neighbors do. They have the smallest bathrooms I've ever seen & they're infested with mold. Leaks abound. And I just had a backed-up pipe flood my apartment. Management could not be bothered to care. Emergency maintenance didn't fix the problem, so there was raw sewage in 3 inches of water throughout the carpeted apartment until the plumbers showed up this morning. There is still sewage throughout the apartment, as the cleaning crew will not get here for yet another day. And they aren't even going to replace the carpet, just clean it. I'm still having to wear shoes inside. Very dissatisfied with the way management has handled this. They couldn't even give an estimated time for things to be fixed, and no compensation will be given, even though the problem was their fault."
"Review changed from 4 to 2 stars due to change in mgmt. The new team (Malik’s and Alec) is a significant downgrade compared to the old team. Also, only live there if you’re just looking for a temporary place because they increase the rent when you renew your lease, which makes the apartment no longer worth it after 2 years. They’re also very manipulative and greedy. They charge $35/ hour for cleaning the apartment so if you want any of your deposit back leave it better than the way you moved in."
"Good for a college student who doesn’t want roomates! Office is friendly and maintence is always available , they also have emergency maintence 24/7 on site !"
