This place is so convenient to downtown and close to everything."

"My experience as a tenant at The Lofts on Ormsby has been wonderful. The apartment complex manager Connie is great to work with. She is courteous, respectful, and works hard in a timely fashion to accommodate the tenants of the building. Connie also makes sure any maintenance issues are dealt with accordingly. This apartment complex meets all of my needs as being affordable, clean, secure, and the amenities that are included in the rent as far as the pool, workout facility, on site laundry and trash valet compete with any apartment complex in the city. You will not find a place that can compare with the Lofts on Ormsby!!"

"No heat in winter. The units use a radiant heater that the tenants have zero control over. Ours doesn't work and hasn't since 2020. It just puts out enough heat to warm itself and not the room. We've reported this several times to maintenance and the office but nothing is done so long as a technician can touch it directly and it be warm. They tell us to run our faucets to prevent freezing but the drains are usually so clogged that they all flood. Office doesn't do much to hel0 except say they'll call someone, assuming someone is in the office. The building is also not ADA compliant t amd refuses to add ramps or anything else because that would interfere with its "historic" nature."

"While I do have a couple problems, the overall experience has been very good. I'll start with the bad -Very old building (post WW2 era)...walls are incredibly thick (which I will mention soundproofing later) which makes it hard for maintenance to be done in a quick manner. Along with the breakers being just as old. I had electricity issues when I first moved in because they don't make the model of breaker switches that the building uses anymore. However, it was resolved. -Shared spaces are sometimes messy because of the other tenants, and there isn't enough staff to keep up with it. -Laundry is a bit expensive for the state of the laundry facility. Not enough washers/dryers and many times, one or two will be out of order, many times this will lead to the ground being wet from leaks. Those are the major flaws, now on to the good! -Connie is a fantastic landlord, very kind and helpful. -The building was recently renovated, meaning that many units are in good shape. Mine personally was freshly done and it looks great for the most part. -Every maintenance staff member has done a great job and have been very kind. -Location is honestly incredible. -UTILITIES INCLUDED. This is huge, incredibly affordable and goes above the bar for what you'd expect for the price. -Pool/Fitness Center is nice -Walls are incredibly thick. The only time you can hear anything is when someone is screaming in the hallway (from your door). And while, that has happened one or two times, I've never been disturbed by it. All in all, I've had a great experience with a couple things preventing a 5 star rating, however, for the price and location, it is a fantastic option. I would definitely recommend it, albeit with a warning in advance for those issues. I've heard bad things about this building in the past, but my experience has been mostly positive, and it seems like the staff is actively trying to make it better with time."
