"This place is off the beaten path. I stumbled upon it and said "oh, well". It turned out to be clean and looked like it had been recently remodled. For the price, it was a good deal. I told the manager, on the way out, how I appreciated the cleanliness and the remodeling job. He responded by saying, if I stay again, I would see the remodeling of the whole motel and they would be starting soon. This was my second time at this motel. Also, Ft. Knox is about 20-30 minutes down the road."
"What a rip off. Price wise. $120. The room was very clean and the king bed was comfortable. But… there was no place to put luggage except the two chairs in the room and the top of the desk and on the microwave. Only other options were the bed and the floor. Breakfast offering was weak coffee and either corn flakes or fruit loops. That’s it. No tea not even packaged granola bars. Seriously !!! Only reason for three stars was the bed and the clean room."
"I live locally and needed a place to stay for the night due a construction project that left me without electricity for the night. I chose this place because it appeared to be well kept and less traffic than the big "big 6" across town. This is an 1970's style "motel" that does not have an interior corridor. You park your car at your door and chuck your luggage into your room from your car with just a simple toss....awesome. My room was freshly painted, looked renovated and was clean. I did not find any of those "special" bugs that love to bite when you sleep. I was greeted at my door with a rather cute cat tho. I was impressed that the walls were plaster and textured and not just painted 70"s era paneling. The popcorn ceiling of the time was missing. Even the outside wall that is usually just a framed fiberglass window kit on these old motels was actually made from wood with a smaller window. Yes, this is an old building, and irregularities show...but it was clean, quite, and the A/C worked great. This only cost $100, whereas the "big 6" was $120. I will return if I ever need a motel again."
"So I'll start by saying it was the lowest price and that fit my budget, in that note warm shower at best, floor felt dirty, but fairly clean otherwise. Parking can get quite crowded. I'd come back if I had too."
"We had to leave another hotel because of the poor conditions, it was 1:00 in the morning after driving from Temple Texas all day, we came there and it clearly said no pets allowed and we explained our story and he sympathized with us and give us a room with a small deposit required he was very nice and the room was very clean! The beds are a little small, but I liked it it kept the old lady from getting away from me LOL! If I ever travel through that area again which I'm sure I will because I travel a lot I will definitely make it a point to stay there over any of the other hotels in the area"
