"Hi,I visited this location working for a third party company for Uber eats, as I approach the lady who was packing up the order , she asked for my ID. I went and grabbed my Identification for her. In that process I asked to speak with the manager. She was very rude to me. I asked the manager why did they need my ID and she told me to verify the ID to see if it was expired. I was okay with that ,but I also asked why they would need my ID if the company knows your age and knows your ID is not expired. She said it was their requirement.It then went left .She as in the manager told me I was not allowed to come back into the store if you don’t like my rules ,all because of what I asked them about my ID. I feel like I was discriminated against .I hope no one will ever have to go though this being a driver for any third party company."

"I usually go to this specs because it is the closest to where I live. Getting help from staff to get an alcohol item from the locked shelf is confusing. Takes forever to find someone to assist. I usually just go to the register to ask someone to get it out but it holds up the line. When you ask staff on the floor to get it, they usually give you an attitude and say to go to the register. It’s all good."

"About half of the staff was really nice. The other half, needs adjusting. One person ignored me when I needed help finding a bottle of conundrum wine. I tracked down someone else and he said he hadn't heard of it and that they probably didn't have that wine. Which is really odd. Every other specs carries it and it's a really popular wine."

"Spec’s is the best- known liquor store chain in the Houston area and it is the one at which I visit with the greatest frequency. Some of the stores are slightly better than others and one of my favorites is this location at 24417 Katy Freeway. What sets this Specs apart? There are many factors and one of them is the size and selection. Some Specs are larger than others and this is, indeed, one of the larger ones in the Houston area. They have a large variety of wine, beer, liquor, and other non- boozy drinks as well as snack foods and supplies. There are always new beers arriving and I like that I can find new beer to try on each visit. Another reason I like this Specs more than others is that, while it is large in size, you can see all of the aisles and that is because the shelves are low. This might seem like an unusual thing to list as a pro, but I like it because, no matter where I am standing, I can scan the rest of the store, see where I need to go, and start walking in that direction. Samples are a regular part of the fun at Specs and it is common to get small samples of liquor here, plus the occasional wine or beer sample, too. The checkout lines move quickly, and the store is clean. Add everything up and you have a Specs location that ranks among the very best in the chain."
