"I came here with four old wooden chairs that needed recaning. Caning each one came to about $175-200, enough to dent the wallet, but I'm so pleased with the results. My only complaint is the fact that the caning looks way better than my amateurish stain work. Good service, quick turnaround."

"My wife passed away in April. As Christmas approached my son suggested we should still get her a Christmas gift. An old radio cabinet she had bought many years ago immediately came to mind as she never got around to refurbishing it as you can see from the before photos. I selected Excel based upon their proximity to me, pricing, and their positive Google reviews. I explained the story behind the cabinet and that we would love to have it ready for Christmas but understood that it was quickly drawing near and that it was likely a busy time of year for them. Excel said they would see what they could do but needed to really get a good look beyond the photos I sent. I elected to have Excel pick-up the piece from my home. but had the option to save by dropping off. Not surprisingly it was quiet for about a month when I received a call that the piece was completed and ready for delivery. I was pretty surprised. I was expecting the call to be something like "it is in much more dire shape than we thought". Instead, I had it back in about a month. It looks great! Check out the after photos. It looks like a new piece of furniture! Now I can move on to the next phase which is to obtain a 1930s AM tube radio and install a Bluetooth interface that will allow us to stream Youtube and other audio sources of old radio shows, Christmas music, etc. Since it is using the old tube radio speaker it will sound just like it did when it was originally broadcast with all of the convenience of modern technology. I want to thank Excel for the great work they did and that they were able to have it ready well before Christmas. My wife would be very proud of the end result and it now resides in a prominent location in the dining room instead of the workshop."
