"Our family adores Primrose Fort Worth West. Our daughters have been enrolled since the infant classroom and our eldest daughter will leave Pre-K this year ready for Kindergarten. As an educator myself, I love the balanced curriculum, safe entry and exit, communication from the office team, and the happy notes that come home celebrating little successes (being kind to a friend) and bigger celebrations (independently using the potty). As a dual working parent household, we feel so lucky to have a team of teachers that love our children and take pride in caring for children and families. Thank you Glenn and Christi for using your big hearts to educate the littlest people."
"We waited on a waitlist for a year to get into this school. My child attended for 16 months before we voluntarily terminated our enrollment. At first, we really liked the school. Shortly after our child's second birthday, and again after our child hit 2 and a half, we were told, by someone with no medical degrees or expertise, that our child needed speech therapy. Our pediatrician did not agree, but we got our child evaluated anyway and started (and paid for) sessions, to appease the school, despite the SLP telling us he didn't really have any issues. Our child stopped napping, which is common for kids their age. This caused a MAJOR problem for the school. They made us pay for and send a basket of toys to keep our child occupied, as the school drops staffing down to 1 teacher to 12 to 14 kids during nap time. Several of these toys were lost in the classroom and were not returned to us when we terminated our enrollment. Then our child, like most toddlers do, figured out how to open the exterior door to the classroom and got outside a few times. The school's owner claimed they could not child proof or do anything to the door to stop a child from opening it, due to licensing and fire code regulations. Their policy was that our child would have to be picked up early each time it happened, regardless of us both working full time. This doesn't teach a 2 year old the lesson the school thinks it does, because a 2 year old is just going to be excited to see mom and dad. The school suggested we remove all the child proofing on our doors at home, and then teach our child not to touch or open doors. No one I know with a toddler leaves anything in their home that could be a danger not childproofed. Toddlers eventually learn what not to touch, but it doesn't happen on demand or on a school's timeline, because they can't figure out how to stop a 2 year old child from getting out a door. We decided all their demands, the large amount of money they charged every week, including weeks where they were closed multiple days or for weather, and the fact that our child was sick all the time from other kids at the school, were not worth it. I don't recommend this school, unless you like being told by people with no medical degrees what they think is wrong with your child, your child naps reliably every day, you don't mind your child being sick all the time, and your child doesn't ever try to open or get into/anywhere they shouldn't. We will be taking our business and our child elsewhere, where children and families are not punished in ridiculous and ineffective ways for normal toddler behavior."
"Great company overall and very reliable. The school is very warm and welcoming. As an infant parent, it is nice to have a school that connects with me as a parent, with warmth and sincerity. Our child loves going to school and it makes each day as a working momma much easier knowing she enjoys school and loves each day!"
"Could not be happier with this school!!! My daughter has been enrolled since 8 months old and has loved all her teachers! We have the most trust and support for this school. I love knowing the owners are so involved and care so much about each child! They know everyone by first name and evolve everyone in all event!"
"We had so many bad experiences here. I do not recommend this school. ---- Update 4/14/23: Now that the owner has replied and blamed us for the bad experiences and relationships with the staff, I'll take the time for a detailed review. I'll like to start with the fact that we were really close to one of the teachers and we know a lot of things about the processes in this school. We know in detail what our daughter was being served for lunch and why she was getting sick so often. Second, the diaper changing process is inappropriate. The diaper changing process was usually done in front of other kids, and our daughter has this unpleasant memory. First day of school, staff has never seen me before, this was my first time in the school. I purposely came by myself to check their child pick-up process. Teacher asked for my daughters name, and they brought her to me, no questions ask. I then asked the teacher how does she know who I was and she replied "because you dropped her off in the morning". Mom dropped her off that morning, not me. One time we were picking up our daughter, we were late so she was the last one to be picked up, so she asks the owner for our daughter and she says that she is not here. My wife freaked out and then a teacher came out of one of the classrooms with our daughter. My wife, very concerned, went to talk to the owner about what just happened and her response was "don't freak out" followed by a smirk. Mom tried to stay and hang out several times after dropping off our daughter and the staff made it impossible for her to stay. Staff never wanted her to stay and observe. This made us lose our trust in the school. Sometimes we'd pick up our daughter earlier than usual and even though she was at home with me, I'd still get notifications from the school app saying that my daughter took a nap or ate some food. Our daughter is in a different school now and we couldn't be happier!"
