"My 3 year old has not held down fluids or food for 24 hours and we’re still waiting 4 hours later . While he’s throwing up what fluid he has left in his little body. This place is the worse. I do not recommend anyone to trust this place with a loved one . I never been to an emergency room who left a toddler sick to get worse in their lobby . Meanwhile they decided to put us in a room with no nurse no machine to check his vitals. No one even lifted the bed up so he won’t choke on his vomit . Let’s see how long we will be left alone in here for . I’ll be updating this . I will contact local news media and take my poor son elsewhere if this does not improve."
"I’ve been sitting in this waiting room for hours simply waiting to be seen. When I ask how much longer the receptionist states that she can’t tell me how much longer it’ll be. You would think there would be a little more urgency, considering it’s a hospital. Receptionists don’t seem to care, and apparently there are either no doctors available, or they’re all on an extended 4 hour break at the same time. This hospital is a joke. They should just change the name to Texas Children’s Waiting Room. This is by far the worst hospital experience I’ve had with my child. I’m not sure what this hospitals main focus is, but I sincerely don’t feel its the patients. If you care about your children, please, please, PLEASE, take them to another hospital"
"Been here since 7:45pm and it is currently 1:20 am. I asked how much longer and they couldn’t give me a time frame. They stated so many people were ahead of me and they can’t move any faster bc they don’t have enough rooms. This is so ridiculous. My child has been in pain for hours. I read the reviews before coming and thought “it can’t be THAT bad” but it is in fact that bad. There’s no reason my sick child should be waiting more than 5 hours just to be seen. I would have left but the urgent care we saw before this suggested he be tested for meningitis. I refuse to play with my sons health as that is very serious. You would think they’d take that more seriously seeing as it is can be spread through cough and we’re sitting in a waiting room filled with many other children and adults."
"This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS and FRUSTRATING! I arrived 14:30 with my 15 months old daughter at the Emergency Center at Texas Children Hospital with a seizure that last probably around 10 minutes. It is now 8:46PM and NO ONE, NO ONE is able to tell us if my daughter will be checked in 10 minutes or in the next 6 hours. It is simply unbelievable how a Hospital treats a baby this way…we don’t want to leave as we don’t know what caused the seizure and we are concerned if happens again. I would expect a bit more respect from a Hospital that publicizes how much they care about our kids. Do they?"
"Here's a novel thought: try having the accurate wait time displayed for everyone to see, that way you aren't forcing people to wait 6-8 plus hours just to not even have a doctor see their sick child. After 3 hours I left, however the woman next to me had been waiting since 3:15pm for her son, and it's now 10:45pm. It's just wrong on so many levels to force people to wait with sick and crying kids for that amount of time. If you guys were upfront and honest about how long the wait times were. It would help us make better choices on where to seek out care for our babies."
