"Absolutely enchanting! A stroll through River Oaks during the holidays feels like stepping into a fairytale. The majestic oak trees and stunning mansions wrapped in colorful lights create a magical atmosphere. Residents' extravagant displays draw visitors from across the city. To enjoy the Christmas display, you can park roadside and walk around the area, just make sure of the no parking zone. You can also just drive around and check out the area. During weekends, the area gets very busy. There are also pedal parties for this occasion. One problem is that there is no restroom facilities over there. For that you have to go to nearby markets or gas stations. But the gas station staff are not that much willing to let you use the restroom. Still it's a must-see experience that captures the holiday spirit in the most breathtaking way. Can't recommend it enough!"

"I saw this a few times. This year it seemed like not as many houses participated as in the previous years. This is still worth checking out and you don’t need a tour guide or anything. You can park along the street then walk around. Just park in the same area as other people if you’re unsure. Just a tip, make sure you explore the main area as well as some side streets. Some of the decorated houses are kind of hidden."

"Spectacular display of lights! The night I went, the weather was perfect. It is fun for the whole family. As I drove by, I saw so many family and friends enjoying the display of the lights. People in their cars and people walking through the neighborhood saying Merry Christmas to each other, and spreading the holiday joy."
