Reviews
"It was my first time visiting James Turrell’s at sunset. It definitely felt different than in the daytime. I like both experiences. Right after sunsets, the light was turned on the colors were changing. I don’t know if my daughter was tired or amazed, she sat there and watched the lights changing for awhile. Parking at Rice was not free. We spent $7 this time. I think there are some cheaper options around, which is near the stadium. I remembered I spent about $3 last time."
"For a distinctive Houston experience blending art and ambiance, explore James Turrell's Twilight Epiphany. The mesmerizing installation is free to enjoy, with the only expense being parking."
"I love the idea that if you put a Turrell on a college campus it becomes a party turrell. A crew of girls had a picnic and were playing trivia. Another group was taking photos up above. We missed the sunrise/sunset lights (aka the Twilight Epiphany) but it was still beautiful in the darkness. Never been to a Turrell with multiple levels... did you know there are 75 different Turrell's throughout the US? How many have you been to?"
"Absolutely beautiful and peaceful experience. Strongly recommend bringing some headphones, turning on some Vivaldi, and experiencing a truly meditative sunset or sunrise."
"This place is very peaceful and serene. Gonna have to go back for another visit so I can make a video for my YouTube channel."
