"I stopped in this amazing shop to ask if I could bring in some boots that I need to have repaired. What I left with was the start of an amazing friendship with two of the coolest people on Bardstown Road. The couple that own and operate the shop are one-of-a-kind! Not only am I getting my boots fixed- but I can call these local Icons of Louisville my newest friends. Always shop locally owned stores. This shop and its owners are the prime example of what that means. They have been present working in and supporting this community for many years. I hope they continue for many more. "It’s not what it used to be. I bought a jacket from them for roughly $400 about three years ago. He told me that they made just about everything in the house. The one I bought had a store label on it. Within two months, both of the pocket had ripped. I brought it to them concerned about the quality, and they insisted that it was good leather. And that they would fix it for me by reinforcing the pocket. Received the jacket back almost a year later. Looking at it now, it is clearly machined. And I found a clear label that i hadn’t noticed before indicating that it’s been made in Pakistan. Very disappointed. This was once a Louisville institution, I won’t be shopping there ever again. Edited in response - i will be calling but need to call out two point. The picture shows a half centimeter by half centimeter scrape that reveals how cheaply made this jacket was. This is bonded leather. Not what the owner represented to my wife and I when I bought it. Maybe you’re not a Louisville institution. It’s what if call a business that’s been in the highlands for more than half a century. :shrug: The last time I asked for something to be corrected I didn’t hear from you for nearly 9 months."

"Nick is the most talented individual with anything leather I have ever seen. My personal custom guitar strap (that Nick has a patent on btw) is second to none. From the countless celebrity pictures that have shopped there that have photos hanging on the walls to Lynn's knowledge of Lucchese boots and the selection of belts, boots and leather goods; this shop is a "must go to" if in the region.
