"The Nitty Gritty is my go-to spot for vintage clothing and costumes in Louisville! It has a constantly rotating selection of vintage formal wear, casual wear, and accessories. One thing I will mention is that plus size vintage clothing is hard to come by here, but that is unfortunately just the nature of vintage clothing. However, the plus size costume selection is plentiful and changes regularly. I visit a couple times each year, and every time I stop in to shop, the owner is welcoming and informative. She knows exactly where to direct me when I ask for a specific clothing piece or style. I have also sold some vintage clothing to the shop and the process was straightforward and quick. This local shop is a gem, and I recommend it to all my friends looking for costume rentals or unique vintage pieces."
"I enjoy going here & the store next it while I wait for my reservation at Big Bad Breakfast! This place has great prices for very special vintage clothing. All different types of styles & unique colors. They have an upper floor for men’s with all types of suits & button ups. Lots of hats as well. Downstairs, they have tons of dresses, blouses, pants etc. Really cool jewelry. Whoever fills the store & chooses what clothing to put inside both of the stores have very authentic taste. In my opinion, these stores are the most vintage & affordable it can get in Louisville."
