"This was the worst barber shop experience I ever had. Not even the haircut itself is what let me to give this a 1 star, just this barbers reaction to a disagreement I had about my haircut. The barber overall did a good job cutting my hair, but I was dissatisfied on how he did my edge up. For reference, I came in to get a haircut after six months because the barber I regularly saw due to my old job was way too far away (In another city). I did not want to go to another barber, since I have a hairline that has always seemed like its receding (I have a very deep widows peak, since I was a kid), and most barbers never seem to get my hair right. But today, I caved in, and decided to give this barber a shot, because my hair was just too much to keep up with. When I came into the shop, the barber made it seem like it would be no issue. I told him from the start, NOT to push my edge up back, because of my hair condition. I showed him pictures of a classic barber cut, and a hair cut from a celebrity online. I thought with his experience, and how highly rated this shop was, he got the picture. In fact, when I left the barber shop, I was initially really happy and confident. Then when I came home, I washed my face to get some of the hair off, and noticed MY EDGE UP fell apart in my hands. I was disgusted. Apparently , he put some kind of edge up repair/fake edge up to make up for the fact he did not cut properly around my widows peak, which I TOLD HIM BEFORE HAND. He did mumble something about fixing my edgeup with something, and I agreed, but we were both LITERALLY watching something he put on the tv at the same time, so I might have missed it. Regardless, he was the professional, not me. I just trusted him, because I thought he knew what he was doing, and at the time, I was enjoying myself. If my hair was too difficult to cut, he honestly should have said so. That way I could have simply gone to a different barber shop, rather than having to deal with what he did next. Never the less, I called the barber back, and told him I was not happy with the edge up, (but satisfied with the haircut). Initially, over the phone, he told me since I was not satisfied, I could come back and he'd fix it up for me. A pretty reasonable request, and a pretty reasonable response right? That verbal consent was the ONLY reason I drove allllll the way back there. Because up until this point, he seemed like a pretty cool guy. But when I came in person, he switched up on me. He told me I TOLD him to give me a crooked edge up (basically). All I asked was for him to watch out for my corners around my hair, cut the haircut like how I showed him and the photos and THAT WAS IT. I dont know where all his extra nonsense came from. To top it off, when I tried to politely ask for an adjustment once more, he was immediately RUDE, acted threatening, insulted me about my "receding" hair, (which made no sense, because I had a full overgrown head of hair on my shoulders coming in, and HE WAS THE ONE WHO CUT IT) in front of other customers, and told me, because I was a new customer, and not a regular he did not give a f$%$ about my edge up. Moral of the story is, I guess if your not fam or a regular for him, you better like whatever haircut he gives you, cause if not he'll threaten you to accept it either way. As soon as I thought he might turn violent on me (man was huffin and puffin like he was going to do something JUST BECAUSE I was unhappy with my edgeup), I simply thanked him for his time and left the shop. If he treats other customers with respect, thats fine, but for me, this man was the rudest, most incompetent barber I ever met. The photos once again are before, directly after when I got home, and the last photo is when I washed my face/hair. Last note, the middle picture, is honestly how I thought my hair was really looking like, because WITHOUT the fake edge up, my previous barber was able to make my hair look just like that, and even up close too. I wont ever be coming back, but good luck to new folks who come here."
