"DO NOT USE — they arbitrarily cancel services at their pleasure. They cancelled my services even though I ARRIVED WITHIN THE GRACE PERIOD. I’m from out of town and made an appointment for 2:30pm for a wash, blow, and heat style with Courtney at this salon for a family wedding I had in the evening. I was never told about a grace period or a cut off time. Nevertheless, I called the salon to let them know I would be about 10 minutes late to my scheduled time when my Uber driver hit some construction and had to take a different route. The front desk thanked me for letting them know and confirmed it was fine. 6 minutes later, while I’m 2 minutes away from the salon, they call me back and tell me that Courtney has decided she can’t wait and has cancelled my services. I let them know I was literally 2 minutes away, but they refused to take me. I arrived anyway (I’m in an Uber I’ve already paid for) — 13 minutes late at 2:43pm — and asked to speak to a manager. After waiting another 10 minutes, I finally spoke to an alleged team leader (who apparently didn’t realize when I arrived) and told me the grace period was 15 minutes — I had clearly arrived within the grace period. To recap, I let the salon know in advance, they confirmed it was fine, I arrived within the grace period, and they still decided to cancel my services. I have never experienced this kind of unprofessional service or complete lack of regard for the customer. This salon claims to be the “New York experience with Southern Hospitality” on their front door. I live in New York City and frequent hair salons — I can confirm this is neither the New York experience or hospitable in any way. EDIT in response to the business reply: I declined the “accommodation” because it was not a true accommodation and only included 2/3 services — it did not include heat styling as my original appointment had (which I need due to my naturally curly and thick hair type). I also note that this “accommodation” was only made after I came in person and waited 10 minutes to speak to any leader — it was not offered at the time of the canceled services. Nothing in the reply addresses the main issue — this business is not reliable and will cancel your services even if you arrive within their grace period and with no warning whatsoever."
