"I had the misfortune of taking my vehicle to the collision center and it will not be a choice we will repeat. My vehicle needed body repair upon drop off I was told it would be a 2-3 week job, my vehicle was not ready for 5 months. During these 5 months I tried to get updates but would only get responses to voicemails or emails after I involved my husband and the manager, even then it was not a guarantee to get a response. When we picked up the vehicle there was still dust inside on the dash and doors, 6 plastic pieces that were not reattached and we have found at least 2 hail dents still visible on the vehicle. I refuse to take it back over there because who knows when I would ever get it back. It was by far the worst customer service I have ever received from any type of service industry. It was so bad that we will never be using any Don Hewlett owned businesses because obviously this lack of communication/service is acceptable at their establishments. Save yourself some time and source another collision center in the area."
"Had a great experience here. Dealing with hail damage on my car from a recent storm. Did a complete estimate to repair everything but in the end of the car was deemed a total loss. Had great experience with the people at this location."
"I am very disappointed with the service I received from this collision center. They have been keeping my car for repair for almost two months and still don't have a date to fix and deliver it. They have had the parts for the last three weeks, but they keep telling me that my car will be ready next week. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place to anyone who values their time and money. Google did not allow me respond to your update Hewlett Collision. Hence adding my response here. As of Dec 23rd: Hailstorm happened six months ago and it is unacceptable that you are using it as an excuse for your backlog. You should have informed me about the backlog when I dropped off my car for repair. Moreover, when I visited you yesterday, I saw that my car was in the same state as the day I left it with you. This shows that you have not started the repairs at all in the past 2 months and I was given false hope that it’s being worked on. As of Jan 4th 2024: I’m updating this review again for anyone interested to know what you would go through with this place. I had the misfortune of taking my car to this body shop for repairs. Despite being with them for three months, they repeatedly refused to give me an ETA for when my car would be fixed. After multiple follow-ups, they finally gave me an estimate, but they missed that date of December 29 (this is after 3 months) already. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable. I would not recommend this body shop to anyone.”"
"Darrell was so helpful through the process of helping me get my car repaired back in April. He was very professional and communication was awesome. He was informative and easygoing. Then the recent hail storm my car got hit again and he was very helpful. I sent him an email that I wanted to get my car towed there and he responded to me within an hour to drop it off. He made the experience so easy and fast! Thanks for your help Darrell and your awesome customer service."
"I brought my car here after I was T-boned in an intersection. Ultimately my car was totaled, but I still had a poor experience with this shop and I wouldn’t return if god forbid I needed collision repair in the future. My complaints all lie with my service advisor, Patrick, and his lack of follow-through. Patrick advised me he would notify me when the tow truck dropped my car off. That never happened. Then he said he’d send me a service authorization form for me to sign that same day. I had to follow up by email and voicemail the next day in order to receive that from him. Following that time, I sent him four other emails and left two other voicemails with questions from my insurance company. He did not respond to a single email or voicemail I left for him. Poor customer service won’t go far in a metro as large as Austin with a million other options available. I recommend researching those other options when selecting a repair facility."
