"Took my truck to Jimmy for engine work. Tomorrow will officially make 5 weeks that he has had my truck. Been trying to get in touch in the last 24 hours via calls and text, and now I feel like my calls are being avoided. Before I could reach Jimmy, now it goes straight to voicemail. I have an uneasy feeling something's not right. I should've had my truck back by now. I will gladly change my review once I get my truck back fixed and in good shape. I need my truck, it's been way too long now. UPDATE: In response to the reply to my review, the part that's on backorder, I found and bought the part myself for $500. I took it to him a week ago today and put it in his hand. He checked it and said that's what was needed and it was the right part to fix my truck. He said it would take 2 to 3 days tops for my truck to get done and it's been another week. UPDATE #2: it is December 30, 2023. I was still being told things were going to happen that hasn't happened. I still don't have my truck. I have called and texted with no response, but one of the last things I have been told is THEY don't have access to my truck now. WHAT??? Time to involve the police and the bank. For all I know, my truck could be in pieces all over Texas at this point. What else am I supposed to think? They have had my truck since November, we're 2 days from January. Update #3: I took my truck to Jimmy's to have a timing issue fixed. Jimmy suggested taking my truck to Toyota because he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start when it started before he worked on it. The first thing Toyota informed me was that it needed a battery. It had a fully functional battery before it was dropped off at Jimmy's. Then Toyota stated they needed to talk to Jimmy to see what was done at the shop. They have stated the problem is internal in the engine and it has to do with the timing. When Toyota finally got the truck to start, the engine popped and started smoking. Toyota said this has to do with when he attempted to fix the timing, and now they need to tear down my engine and see what went wrong. Of course, I have reached out to this business several times via calls, text messages and chat, so they can contact Toyota and get my truck fixed, and am now being ignored because they don't want to take responsibility. This is an ongoing issue with this shop. Since November of 2023, I have been getting the run around and straight up lies about what has been going on with my truck. It started and ran before it was taken to Jimmy's. I haven't had my truck in 3 months, and now it won't start, Toyota needs to fix it and they are ignoring me."
