"Our family took a day trip to Austin and the serpentine belt came off when our water pump failed. Joe met us on the side of the road almost instantly to diagnose what had happened. We got the vehicle to his shop and were able to use their BMW as a rental to finish out the day getting some food and hiking nearby. The BMW, by the way, rides like a DREAM. We definitely felt pampered. After a few hours, Joe got us back on the road and home safely - all on a SATURDAY. This all turned what could have been a disastrous weekend into a a pleasant one with a few surprises. Thank you! Great communication, prices, professionalism, and white glove experience."
"Went here about a month ago on urgently as my breaks were making terrible noises. They got me fixed right up! First off, great hours especially for us that can’t go during the workweek. They identified the problem fast, gave me a timeline, gave me options. Good cost. My car has felt so much better. Really nice workers! They do specialize in Subarus but they took good care of my Toyota. Only thing to note is it’s a little hard to find but don’t give up."
"Hey friends, I don’t normally write reviews on Google. And to be honest I think this is my first one. My experience with Jackson automotive is as followed. I am a Pennsylvania native and a Subaru enthusiast, and I am always on the hunt for good deals for performance parts on Facebook marketplace. One day I stumbled across a rebuilt IAG motor, I clicked on the post and read the description. The block had 0 miles and was redone with manley h-tuff rods and 100mm JE hybrid pistons. These pistons allow ej20 heads to be fitted to an ej25 short block with minimal issues. The goal of these pistons is to decrease compression and fix quench area hot spots typically encountered on traditional hybrid setups. In the description the seller mentioned Jackson automotive as the re-builder and provided a receipt and blueprint sheet for the short block. I then called Jackson automotive to verify the authenticity of the receipt and if they remember doing the work, I believe I talked to Josh on the phone and we discussed my power goals and the blocks power potential. Great people to talk to and I think we had a half hour conversation about it. I later purchased the short block from the third party seller and it was shipped from Texas to PA without issue. I assembled the long block myself and did the engine break-in myself aswell. First start had no issues and good compression. First oil change had minimal particulates and no bearing material present. I did a 1000 mile engine break-in using all motul fluids. Once engine break-in was completed the car was tuned at PSI Proformance in Pa and made 617 whp on e85 gasoline. I tried to call Jackson automotive after my Dyno appt, to inform them of the success of the engine build and the power it held, however I think their number has changed or they are understaffed and busy because I have not been able to get ahold of them via the google provided phone number. Overall my experience with Jackson automotive as an engine rebuilder is awesome! The engine now has around 3000 miles and is beat on every single time it is out. I would not hesitate to have Jackson automotive re-build or build me a shortblock again in the future! For those of you interested in my setup the majority of my mod list is as followed: Motor Ej25 Je hybrid pistons 100mm H-tuff rods Sti crank Arp 625 11mm studs Heads S20 castings Supertech Ss intake valves Supertech inconel exhaust valves Supertech dual springs Kellford 268 cams (199c) Turbo Twin scroll Gt3582 Fmic Tial q50 bov Exhaust Tri-dump Fuel cobb Flex fuel kit Fuel lab 828 filter Aeromotive FPR Agency power fuel rails -6an fuel line Fic 1650 injectors 525 pump Trans Non dccd 6speed Act mod twin, twin disc clutch R160 rear differential Misc Aem map sensor VTA Catch cans Je pro seal head gaskets Clear timing covers Carbon rear diffuser Circuit demon style lights Interior Blue sti front and rear seats Carbon shift knob Full aem gauges Ati carbon clock delete gauge pod"
"So I recently moved to town and brought my 1992 Subaru legacy wagon. After a few weeks of being here I noticed I had a headgasket issue. Before I found Josh here at Jackson automotive I talked to 4 separate shops who all said that it was too old of a Subaru and they aren't familiar with getting it done properly. Immediately when I asked Josh he knew what car I had, he was familiar with the engine & he told me what else would be good to get done while the motor is out of the car in a way that made sense and didn't feel like he was being pushy at all for anything. If I wanted to do the bare minimum he was cool with that, if I wanted to go all out and get all the maintenance taken care of he was cool with that as well. Josh is super hard working, extremely knowledgeable on Subarus, very fairly priced, and super friendly. Went in for just a headgasket and ended up getting my engine completely re-sealed with a new clutch, new oil pump and a fresh timing kit and water pump. Extremely happy camper. I can't wait till my break in miles are over to let it sing!"
