"Today’s visit was to the Swish office that does TMJ consultations. Making an appointment was easy and very timely. Pre-registration was completed with my information from the East office. My day of appointment experience was very good. The pre dentist scans were done quickly and efficiently. The dentist discussed the findings and made recommendations. I was a bit perplexed that there was no physical examination. I have agreed to a bite guard plan and am hoping that this will eliminate my sudden acute TMJ pain and make chewing possible again."

"Overall poor experience. Scheduled an appointment noting "General Cleaning" online based on google reviews and proximity to my employer. I got emails about forms so completed everything before hand. Showed up the appointment on time, the front desk lady seemed nice. A dental assistant came to take me to the room. Note - I was actually not taken to a room. It was in the middle of their offices with no actual door. As a result, it was noisy in the space due to all the background noise. I was switched to three different dental assistants (not sure why). A lot of unnecessary procedures were done. I realize I am new patient, but I have been to several dentist offices and usually its as simple as x-rays, a cleaning, and then a dentist consult. The procedures here were just overkill - 1) jaw / full mouth x-ray 2) 3D Mapping of Mouth 3) Pictures of ever teeth 4) regular x-rays. All of the above took an hour. At the end of that, the dental assistant tells me a hygienist will come to check what kind of cleaning I need and she won't be actually doing it as it needs to be scheduled later. First time being informed of that, I was under the impression I was getting a cleaning based on my appointment comments. Hygienist takes 5 minutes poking around and tells me "You need a general cleaning". Shortly after, the dentist comes in. She was great. Took 5 minutes, raised one or two things for me to consider and left (as expected). After this an office manager comes into tell me all the procedures that were done, and what was covered by insurance and to schedule the cleaning. By the time all this is done its 1hr and 20 minutes.... If you are new to the Austin area and need a place to schedule a cleaning in the middle of a busy work week, this wouldn't be the place. Maybe they are more efficient with their regular / returning patients."
