"Dr. Carmona is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. H has a very good bedside manner. This is my second time and every time he takes the time to thoroughly explain different kinds of treatments that could work for you. He does not mind questions. He will answer all the questions and will suggest options and everything else. Misty is also very helpful and did explain to me different ways to pay for my treatment. I am a very satisfied customer. "Start with the positive: Dentist and staff were friendly. I was referred for a replacement crown on an implant. The charge for the initial exam (to estimate the work to be done) was $211. My insurance paid some of that and I was okay paying my portion, but have to say that I had two consultations with other dentists who evaluated the work and there were no charges for those consultations. An estimate was filed with my insurance. That's where I have a problem with Dr. Carmona's practice. His estimate included $595 for "pieces and parts" needed to do the implant work. I thought this was a little odd. In the past all of my dentists have included any "hardware" within the dentist's service fee. I questioned the staff and was told there was no dental procedure code under which to file the charges so they would not be covered by insurance and that that entire charge would be my responsibility. I researched this separate expense with the Department of Insurance and came to the conclusion that it is odd for a dentist to bill that as a separate line item. It is my humble opinion that it is a money grab. Following this estimate I went to two other dentists for estimates on the work to be done. I specifically asked them about this practice and was told that any "pieces and parts" are included in their dental service fees. This made me feel that Dr. Carmona's practice of not including the hardware to be used to remedy the problem is simply a way for him to charge more for the services performed. Again, nice interactions with the dentist and staff, but really object to this practice. Be sure to check it out before having work done."

"Dr. Carmona is definitely a dentist who goes above and beyond for his patients. Ever since I walked into his office a few months ago, he and his staff have gone out of their way to help me with my procedure. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor.
