Take 5 Oil Change 14522 Blanco Road, San Antonio, TX 78216

"It took 80 minutes for the oil change. It was not due to the amount of business. When I arrived, I was the third car (one of which was a state inspection which should’ve taken 10 minutes max and took 40!). There were 4 folks “working,” but one did most of the work because the other three did very little and everything they did was essentially being checked by the one who appeared to be the supervisor; they also moved with no sense of urgency…slower than molasses. The last three times I’ve had my oil changed at Take 5, it’s taken successively more time each visit. I know we’re in a tight labor market, these folks were probably being trained, and I appreciate these folks are willing to work, but even given the circumstances, it should have taken half the time it did at worst. I will not likely return to Take 5 for oil changes; I’ll happily pay slightly more for an oil change that typically takes under 30 minutes."

"You need more honest workers like the female worker that was there at 9:00 Saturday morning. When she pulled up my info she told me I was good for another 3,000 miles. She said because of the high oil grade I had gotten the last time that I was good for another 3,000 miles. I was shocked and showed her the sticker that the male worker put on my last visit and she was shocked too. That young lady saved a single income female over $100. I am so thank for her."

"I went to store #0199 on Blanco Rd. I came in to get an oil change and specifically asked for the high mileage premium service (non-synthetic). I was received by Anthony when I arrived. He had zero personality and was very unfriendly. I informed him I had a coupon while he was standing next to my car. Another young man, Michael, helped him too. They asked if I wanted my air filters replaced, which I declined. When it came to pay, I presented my $17 off coupon. My bill still came out to >$103 and I didn’t understand why when the service I asked for would have been under $90 (with coupon), even with the extra quart of oil my car requires. After I left and looked at my invoice, I saw that Anthony charged me for the full-synthetic oil change, which I had not asked for and can’t even be sure that I received. I believe he got upset that I had a coupon and charged me for the more expensive service. I tried calling the station multiple times to get this corrected and no one ever answered. I also contacted their corporate office to file a formal complaint. Another issue I had is that neither of the attendants even checked my tires, other fluids or wipers, yet the checklist on the invoice showed they signed off on the checklist as if the services were done. Please avoid this location at all costs! I’ve received better service at the West Avenue location (78213) and that store isn’t shady like this one."

"It is the first time that it happens that basically I feel like they want to force me to pay for X service, I went for a simple oil change and they wanted to practically force me to buy other services, The attention provided is simply horrendous, they changed the air filter and did not return the click of the container, leaving the container open at the expense of dirt entering the engine, 2 days after the service, I went to file the claim, they made me go 3 more times, 3 Tuesdays in a row, 3 continuous weeks and they never resolved, with a very bad reception from the person in charge of the store, I don't recommend this location to anyone!"
