"I am the operations manager for an 18 truck fleet trucking company I contacted this company to Lease step decks. The credit manager for this company contacted my owner after the credit application was completed. He advised her that I was the proper representative for the company in a brief conversation. I was later advised that our credit application was denied because she could not communicate with the owner of the company. My owner is Eastern European, and has a very strong accent. All of our equipment is leased so it is obviously not a credit problem. I honestly do not understand is the only explanation I can come up with is just pure racism 100% not a credit or vendor issue and definitely not a communication issue as I don’t have an accent being born and raised in this country and 55 years old. I run into this more often than you would believe and it is sad because the gentleman that I work for has been here 20 years and is a citizen . I have to document these events and I’m determined to do so every time."
