"Very disappointed. Ordered a new glass for a skidsteer and honestly felt like it was too cheap and asked, "Are you sure?" 3 times and they agreed that it sounded too cheap and then verified it was indeed correct. I ordered the glass and rubber seal and was charged accordingly and waited for my order. They called and I asked if I dropped the frame off would they install it for me. I had to make a service order which I did and then dropped the frame. They called a few days later and said my frame wouldn't work it was bent... Ok'd a new frame for approx 700.00. Almost a month and a half go by.. I called them again they said, "Oh, so sorry our old service guy is no longer with us and he messed up a bunch of stuff and didn't call customers and follow up.. anyway, yes.. we have your order and it's ready and the price is 1700.00. (Keep in mind I already paid around 300.00 for the glass and seal and ok' d another 700.00 for the frame). I asked about the price and went over what I had already paid and what I thought my balance should be approx. to which he informed me that the glass they ordered was wrong and they ordered the new one and it was quite a bit more expensive than what I had paid for. They credited me back the cheaper price they charged me and added the extra price to my bill... I said, " Ok, why didn't someone call me and let me know what was going on before I get this call with the price being much more than I expected." Well, our previous service guy didn't do that and thats why he's no longer here. So, I was upset and we went round and round about why should I have to pay anything more than I was told the price would be (around 1,000.00 +/-) instead of 1,700.00? They kept saying they were truly sorry but refused to do anything about their mess up and the old service guys incompetence. I picked up my door and window and let them know that was no way to do business and that it would be the last time I would be doing any business with them. I am an older guy who is a business owner. I treat people with respect and when I give my word, I back it up whether I make money or lose money. If I tell you I will do something, by God, I'm going to do it! "Unfortunately, I cannot say that we have ever had a good experience with this company. We have rented equipment from them over the course of two years and each time there is problems with the equipment or the company. This most recent time, I reserved a small excavator for the weekend, Not hearing back from the company about delivery I called to confirm. The man Chris I spoke with told me that the reason why they did not call was because they rented the equipment to someone earlier in the week who chose to keep the machine. He unapologetically offered me the larger excavator at double the price with no discount on the rental. I asked for a discount on the rental and he said that the rental rate was set in stone and there was nothing he could do. He finally agreed to deliver the equipment (10 minutes up the road) with out the delivery charge. The day after the equipment was picked up I received a charge for an additional $186 that was not agreed upon at the time of rental. When I called to question the charge Chris went on to say it was part of the rental agreement that I got at the time the machine was picked up AFTER use. My husband called for further explanation only to have Chris hang up on him. Hendershot has extremely poor customer service in the rental area, the head of rentals could care less if you get the machine that you rented and will not call to tell you if the machine is no longer available but will happily charge you for a larger machine that you really didn't need but you don't have a choice because you need it to start your project. Once you get the equipment hope to the rental gods that it works, we have had several pieces of equipment breakdown mid rental and in most cases they have only one of the large machines they rent. If you want to save yourself time and frustration find a more reliable place to rent from."

"Fraudulent business practice. Reserved a small excavator over a week in advance. Call the day before supposed to be delivered to confirm. They tell us somebody rented it and decided to extend the rental but we have one for double the amount and no discount of the rental. We have it delivered. They have my wife sign paperwork the day they pick it up not when they deliver it and charge us an additional three hours of overages for $186 tell us that is part of the contract you should’ve seen it, never even gave us a copy of what they had her sign after the use of the equipment. Proceed to tell me to give them my email address and they’ll send me a copy. I said why bother you already got me for over triple the amount of what the equipment was that we originally reserved and I got hung up on."
