"ACE MART DOES NOT RESPECT FEMALE CUSTOMERS. I just purchased a few items, and there was a young male who placed a couple of the items in one paper bag. He left the bag on the counter for ME to place in my basket while he placed the other two items in the basket. Then he followed me out the door, claiming he was supposed to help me place the items in my car. I kept telling him to leave me alone, but he wouldn't. Did he think I would steal the store shopping cart? He never offered to load the items in my car, nor did he offer to take the basket back inside. What was particularly creepy was that he stayed behind me, too close for comfort. When I took the basket back inside (because that young kid would not do so), I complained to a manager - who sided with him! I kept saying how creepy his actions were, and the manager kept saying the store's policy was "old-fashioned service" But "old-fashioned service" means placing ALL of a customer's purchases in the basket, not just some. It means pushing the basket. It means placing items in the vehicle. It means taking the basket back inside. It does NOT mean following too closely behind a customer like a lost dog hoping to be "rescued" or at least fed. It means respecting a female customer when she tells you to leave her alone because you are making her uncomfortable. Ace Mart - you really really dropped the ball with how you allowed your employee to make a female customer extremely uncomfortable and then DEFENDING HIS BEHAVIOR. That is so very very wrong. How sad. How bigly bigly sad."

"I LOVE this place! The people are always friendly and happily willing to assist. Having worked in commercial and institutional cooking, I recognize most everything in the store. But, even for home-use, they have tons of tools & supplies for the home cook. Yesterday I purchased 3 nonstick skillets, a tube of 2 oz Solo cups & lids, & plastic flatware baskets. They have bunches of institutional quality tools that are very competitively priced, & they have better service than any retail store."
