"I only gave it 4 stars because it was very mellow. The bartenders were super nice and were great with mixing the drinks. The music was very diverse so that’s a plus being an African American in Texas. They went from country to hip hop real quick lol. They do have photos on the wall that only show one race though so idk man lol parking is maybe 20 people max. It was kind of dark heading there though . Needs more street lights but that’s not their fault tbh. Overall it was a nice chill place. A game of pool was $1.50 so that’s lit ."

"I am adamantly for support of local small businesses, especially local dive bars in town—they’re one of the best places to meet some of the best locals. My absolute FAVORITE dive bar in town is the thirsty turtle, hands down! The owners actually own a few more dive bars in town (which I’ve also been to), but the turtle is my go-to. The bar has 4 really great bartenders that I love and trust whether I’m there alone or with a group—Lilly, Morgan, Kat and Welcome (yes, that is his real name). They’re fantastic! Professional, fast, and truly know how to keep control of the bar and patrons. It truly is that little neighborhood bar where you’ll meet some great people, and eventually everyone will know your name. If you ever see me at the bar, stop by and I’ll recommend a couple custom drinks that are fantastic!"
