Reviews
"In reference to the last few reviews: These prior comments are disingenuous and leave out context. These young girls were already engaged in an altercation with patrons before any slurs were used. They were asked to leave repeatedly before they finally did. The patronage of this bar consists of about 60-70% minorities and welcomes all walks of life and sexual persuasions. We do not discriminate against anyone. in spite of unfortunate comments that might have been made by a patron involved in this altercation. These girls were singled out because they were the ones yelling and making a scene. The one girl that got called a slur was shoving people prior and after that happened. It’s not the job of the employees to take sides in heated arguments but in this and most cases the squeaky wheel gets the oil and they were the squeaky wheel. As the old bald guy that told them to leave, yes I do work there but wasn’t working that night. Doesn’t mean I don’t have authority and I didn’t intervene until I witnessed one of these women put their hands on someone (shove) TWICE. This was when I told them to leave. They’d already been told to leave by staff. If someone uses a slur against you, you have the right to be angry. You have the right to be outraged. You never, EVER have the right to put your hands on someone. Period. It should also be mentioned that several of the people they were arguing with ARE minorities. The bartender mentioned is Puerto Rican. Thiis transpired after last call and everyone was needing to leave the establishment anyway. Hope you got home safe but don’t come back"
"I love the environment and how welcoming everyone is, hard to find that as a minority part of the LGBTQ community. I’ve been coming for about 3 years and have gotten to know the bartenders, owners, and the other regulars. Love my second home!"
"Been coming here for months with no problem but tonight they let pure homophobia consume the bar and made many people feel uncomfortable. Jari was bartending and just let it happen. She let the cokeheads take over the bar with no hesitation and let everyone get disrespected."
"The atmosphere is not welcoming to minorities. The other customers are not respectful to those around them, and regularly entice conflict. Not worth your time visiting."
"I had gone here for almost a year with coworkers and never had any issues, until there was a gentleman here who had called me and friends here slurs. Nothing was done for us and we were kicked out by a bald man who “worked here” (never saw him work only drink). The bartender did nothing for us and we were ultimately kicked out for telling the man to “cool it with the comments”. Terrible bar for people who are gay or minorities. Sad to say that I came here for awhile and would never return again"
