"This was a Cabela's. I guess it's the Bass Pro Shop. I may not have been in the store as a Bass Pro Shop. But I do have some experience with Bass Pro Shop. I'm sure the store is unique like the other stores. If you've never been, they have everything. This is a one-stop shopping center. The one I did go to the staff was great. Everybody was super knowledgeable. I was looking for some hard to find ore locks. To put in my grandfather's old 10 foot v bottom aluminum boat. Don't have him anymore, but I had his boat. They helped me find the ore locks, I was shocked to have them in stock. Spent today at a little lake. I caught nothing. And I remembered why I didn't like to row that boat in the first place. It had probably been five years since me and my pawpaw went fishing last when I took his boat out. It brought back a lot of memories. I'm Thankful for Bass Pro Shop for that. It also brought a lot of pain in my arms and shoulders, I'm not as young as I used to be. It was still a great day. I don't know if any of the pictures are accurate to any of the things in the store. But I would like to leave them on here. I think they are interesting. If there is a problem, please remove them. If you can't. I'll try to check this and if you left me a message. I will remove them. Thanks."
"I went there today to buy a sightmark bore sighter and there was an open box along with unopened and I chose the open package because the sales clerk said that it had been opened in the store and there was nothing wrong and they gave me a discount of $5. I got it home and it was not opened at the store it had been opened at someone's home and the batteries were mixed matched and dead. It cost me $16 for a new set of. I don't like being especially when it cost me money and a 40 mile round trip from Galveston to the store and back. Will I get any reimbursement for this I doubt it"
"Went the week of Christmas and they were swamped. I had a firearm to pickup and I love that they have a qr you scan to hold your place in line. They call you in the intercom once it’s your turn. I had a really nice older gentleman help me. He even gave me pointers on how to use my firearm. I love that they hire veterans. They have a huge selection of firearms! 10 out of 10 on service and inventory"
"Top notch outfit. I’ve been coming to this location for 8+ years almost twice a week. The fishing section is usually great except for the beginning of saltwater season when they’re sometimes thin on inventory. Randy is the man!!! If you’re there for fishing gear, forget it and just spend some time talking to Randy. I always learn something new and he’s not afraid to tell you where the fish are, especially down on Galveston bay. The firearms department has awesome sales a few times a year. Sign up for the emails. 9 out of 10 of them are pointless but every once in a while they have awesome deals. The gun library typically offers okay prices for purchasing used guns. They also have a great inventory of reloading stuff. Primers can be iffy at certain times of the year. Camping could be better. If they simply only sold Cabelas Alaskan guide gear they’d be better off. Archery is a 5 out of 10. The techs are usually okay….but are typically younger college guys that really don’t have much experience. There’s one middle age guy that works archery and is fantastic. I believe he came from Santa Fe Archery before they closed. If you get a tech that is younger you’re rolling the dice. Don’t bother with an Ascend kayak as they are way too wet of a ride. Everything else in the paddling dept. is spot on. All this being said, their customer service is outstanding. These are good local people that work here. Treat them like it!!! Return policy is one of the best around. They have always taken great care of me at this location. Hats off to management for a great operation. All pics are mostly products sold from this location."
"Came in on my birthday to buy myself a new gun. Staff was great. Ralph at the gun counter was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very vast selection of firearms all at great prices. Definitely glad I chose Caleba's. Store is beautiful inside and out. Selection is beyond belief. If you're looking for something; they have it."
