"Christian Brothers of Pflugerville will have me as a customer for life!! A special shoutout to Rich who went above and beyond to make my experience better than I could have imagined. Thank you so much for taking the best care of me!!!"
"Wow! Amazing service! When I say they went above and beyond, I mean it! Isiah took diligent notes of my concerns gave me a prompt time line to set my expectations to THEN went out of his way to help me get a rental car squared away! Not my first or last time working with Christian Brothers Auto."
"Edit: Owner basically did nothing. Christian Brothers More like the Hellish Devil Brothers. Obviously, I will never be going back to this establishment, and I will absolutely never recommend anyone I know go to this establishment, but on top of that my goal in writing this review is in hopes that you never have to deal with what my husband and I had to deal with so I can deter you from coming here too. PLEASE go to any other automotive shop, please. My favorite is that their motto and their cars have "Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39. If my neighbor messed up my car, I would hope they would have the kindness to fix it. It's always Christian morals and Christian ideals until "We're a for profit business." word for word what the lovely manager Rich said, as well as other lovely quotes down below. Like yes obviously I know that, but we work hard for our money as well. We brought our car in because one of our lug nuts broke off. We got a quote of around $200 dollars but that they would send us the quote once they had done the work. (we had also called and they had quoted that, so we budgeted that.) And I would like to note that I drove my car, working JUST FINE into the lot minus the broken lug nut. We got a lovely call that they had to drive our car out of their bay and they heard a snap but they would call us to let us know what was wrong with it. Well apparently that snap was our shift control cable, our car was fixed permanently in neutral so our car was absolutely stuck and could not be driven any more. Okay cool, so my car that I drove in that morning is now undrivable. I can't take it anywhere. They then proceed to tell me it will cost $487.24 to get it fixed, which mind you was not money we had budgeted. I am pregnant with a baby girl on the way and we are trying to save as much money as possible until she comes. $311.84 for labor and $162.03 for the part. I would like to note, WE did not break this. Christian Brothers Automotive Pflugerville broke my car and they wanted US to pay for it. They proceeded to tell us that it was "not their negligence so we would have to pay" and that "they wouldn't charge us for the tow obviously." WOULDN'T CHARGE US FOR THE TOW???? I can't even drive my freaking car, and on the bright side they aren't charging us for the tow. But we still had to pay the $487.24 out of pocket. We made sure to call our mechanic that we typically work with in Dallas, and he said that shift control cables don't just break, they typically break because someone has applied force onto it when shifting. Force that I would like to once again state, WE did not apply. We then had to wait over the weekend to speak to the manager on Monday, the lovely Rich, from the quote above. Obviously, we wanted Christian Brothers Automotive Pflugerville to fix it without us having to pay for it but Rich flat out refused. We then decided fine, "love thy freaking neighbor" but mess up the car you're on your own. We asked to strike a deal, he went "okay I'll give it to you for $420. This a $600 dollar repair." Um we have the quote it was $487.24 where tf did you get $600. He goes "I printed it out for you when you came in." He didn't print out jack anything for us. We then were like can we please escalate this higher because this is ridiculous, and he's like " FINAL OFFER" what are we on, jeopardy???? He said he would give it to us for $323. Which at that point we had been dealing with this for a week and I needed my car back because my husband and I both have to go into work. We chose to accept it because it was clearly the "FINAL OFFER" as Rich said. At the end of the day this review is just me letting you guys know to please please please go anywhere else. Please for all that is holy and for the love of God, go somewhere else. DO NOT GO HERE."
"I took my ford focus in for a check engine light. Loved their service and price was very affordable. Did a great job and turnaround time was very fast. Not only would I use them again i just dropped my daughters’s jeep off for repairs. And the 05 trailblazer I gave to my sister to drive. Have used them 5 times and will use them again when the time comes for it. The Highly recommended."
"Absolute NIGHTMARE experience with Christian Brothers Automotive. Dropped the car off on Friday (2/19) morning for a simple lug nut stud replacement and expected a straight forward repair. Around 9:30 AM, I received a quote that was a little less than $200 for the replacement. I authorized the repair and was excited to have the vehicle back by the end of day. I received a call around noon from Christian Brothers stating “As we drove the car to the parking lot AFTER the repair, there was a noise and the car was stuck in neutral”. At 4:59, I received a text for the quote, I was quoted the below to fix the shifter cable assembly: $311.84 for labor and $162.03 for parts for a total of $473.87 before taxes and fees. Shortly after the quote, I received a call confirming that the shifter cable broke. I asked the technician what the next steps were and without any hesitation he immediately goes “you have to authorize the repair cost”. I was flabbergasted since it was extremely disappointing to know they do not take any responsibility when something goes wrong. I asked to speak to a manager and the technician said he would have the manager call me on Monday. Thinking that they valued their customers, I thought that they would call me back first thing Monday morning. Monday comes around and I am waiting the entire morning for the call. I finally called the shop in the afternoon and asked to speak to the manager. I was introduced to Rich and I told him I am calling back regarding my car. He then said, “Can you catch me up on what happened?”. I was disappointed to hear that the technician that was working on my car did not even inform the manager of what was going on. I told Rich what happened to my car and he immediately started to push responsibility on to the car and away from the shop. He took zero responsibility and did not acknowledge any possible wrong doing. He told me my options were either to authorize the repair or get it towed and fixed at a different auto shop. His take it or leave it attitude made the whole situation even worse. I decided to go in-person after work to speak with Rich in person. I went in person and paid for the lug nut stud repair in good faith. Rich checked me out and charged me for the repair. During the payment, I asked him if anything else can be done besides the two options he gave me, hoping that he would make me an offer to have the car fixed. He said that there are no other alternatives. I asked if he can take some photos of the damaged parts, so I can see what is actually broken. Rich personally said he would have his guys do it the next day. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I'm waiting for the pictures calling multiple times with reassurances that they would get it to me. At this point, it just seemed like they were wasting my time. And in the end, they didn’t even provide me with what I asked for citing that it was too difficult to get the pictures. I finally decided to call back once again and ask if we could cut a deal and Rich had the audacity to say “this is what I wanted to do from the beginning”. Rich not once offered me a deal. I offered to split the total cost of $487.24 half and half. Rich came back and said the best he can do is to contribute $87.24. The paltry sum just goes to show you that they do not take ownership on issues that they caused. I asked why Rich can only cover $87 dollars, he said “I am running a for-profit business." At this point, everything Rich said just cemented the fact that Christian Brothers does NOT care about their customers and their vehicles. I told Rich that we all work for our money and not everyone can afford a $500 repair. I’m about to be the father to a little girl and am trying to save money. At the end he made me his “FINAL OFFER” and asked me to cover $323. I only accepted the offer because my wife and I both need to go into work and it has been incredibly inconvenient dragging this out. I DO NOT recommend anyone go here, since they hide behind a fake motto and will try to charge as much as possible for damages that happened under their care."
