"Stay away from this company. I ordered a engine from them and I was told the engine was Grade A condition with 124k miles. I paid $1800 shipped to my shop.. they also told me it takes about 3-5 business days to process and 24-48 hours to receive order. It took a total of 16 days to receive my engine. When the engine finally arrived I immediately seen several red flags. The engine was tagged with 169k miles, the spark plug wires were covered in yellowed oil. This indicates water and oil have mixed, then when I removed the valve covers the left side valve cover had a big peice that had broke off and was laying on top of the cam and you can see where this motor have been ran with this because there was noticeable wear on the cam holders.. then I had to extract 3-4 exhaust manifold studs from the heads where they had been broken off. I also drained about 1-2 quarts of the same yellow oil from the oil pan.. when I complained to used engine inc about these issues they insisted the engine had 124k miles even though I sent pictures of the tag showing 169k miles. They also insisted that the other complaints were normal. Remember now they told me it was a Grade A engine. I have all the text messages from this company and showed them proof I was lied too.they only offered me $100 discount. When I insisted on them making this right they asked me not to dispute with the credit card company they will make it right. Well after installing the engine come to find out it has a blown head gasket or some other massive internal leak. Water goes straight from my radiator to my oil pan without the engine even running. I have video of this..I never even got to pull the truck out of the garage. They insist this engine was ran and tested before shipping but they are liers. Several reasons I know they lied. If they had started the engine it would've made a terrible noise with the broke piece laying in the cams, so If they did start it they knowing started a engine and shipped it knowing it was making noise, Also the spark plug holes were so caked in oil sludge even after I installed the new spark plugs they couldn't fire. I had to remove my brand new plugs and clean them before I finally got the engine to start.. now they seem to be trying to fight me with the credit card company when all I want is for them to take this engine back and issue a refund. Ive already lost the price of the engine plus additional $450 on gasket and parts I replaced for the engine, after they seen I was disputing with the credit card company they called and offered a $300 discount. I mean how insulting. And even if we came to an agreement and they would honor there 6 month warranty and send me another engine I just don't trust them now. And I shouldn't have to fight them this much to make it right. I sent them pictures of all the complaints and they acted like it's just normal, it's too much work to keep pulling engines. Do yourself a favor. Just order a remanufactured engine and be done with it.. By the time I bought this peice of junk from used engines inc and replaced the gaskets I'm already $2400 in a used engine. The only thing positive I can say about used engines inc is they will return your calls very quickly but that is pointless if they just going to basically discredit everything you say. And before they paste and copy the same response the do to everyone else saying they have no record of us buying from them.. This engine was bought by my mother's name. Linda Hawks. So don't respond saying you have no record of our business like you do others that leave negative reviews. the only way they can make this right and get some kinda favorable review is refund my money.. I understand mistakes happen but you must own up to them"

"Ordered a used engine for BMW from them, was promised that the only part missing on the engine was going to be the starter, which I had. Engine came with cracked valve cover, missing everything, including starter and defective valvetronic, which they did not honor a replacement under their 90 day warranty. Even though it’s internal parts, they refused to replace it or deduct the price of it. And careful what you are buying, unless you just need a basic block, I wouldn’t do business with them. Again another useless company that doesn’t stand behind the product when they promise to."
