Goodwill Houston Select Stores

"This has been the best Goodwill around my area for bame brand items, but their prices are getting out of hand more and more. Recently my friend and I, on Tuesdays ( right before the color is about to go half off on Wednesdays), caught them taking racks of that color that's about to half off, taken to the back so we cant get them on Wednesday. Im very observant and spend alot of time they and ive always suspected it for along time, but now we caught them. That's why you never find that certain color as easily on Wednesdays anymore. The greed had gotten out of hand honestly. Just beware, if you want Amy discount on colors, go om Mondays and Tuesday to at least tp get 25% off amd if you find any one Wednesdays, consider yourself lucky. Otherwise the staff are super lovely, and I love chatting with all of them. Hate to right this review but the greed needs to stop! They get everything free and they don't pay there employees enough. Their employees can't even shop there themselves anymore. It's sad how they treat the hard working people there."

"Absolutely everyone at the store is fantastic with the exception of one manager named Robert. He interrupts the guest when they're speaking and is extremely patronizing. I called corporate and left a message. I'll update after the return call."

"Absolutely has become a scam to shop here. The only thing that is reasonably priced is children's clothing. Everything else is outrageous. The pricing is also wildly inconsistent. You may find 2 identical items in the same condition for 2 very different prices... I guess it's priced based on how they feel that day."

"Pricing here is 50% more than the River Oaks Goodwill! It’s the audacity for me, like the other reviews said , the items are overpriced!!! It would behoove you, if you would price your items a little bit cheaper! Talk about American Greed!"

"I just had a very negative experience at this goodwill. I have been driving out of my way for years to come here because their selection is generally better than my closer, smaller Goodwill. I have severe carpel tunnel syndrome, so it’s somewhat difficult for me to hold onto a handful of coat hangers. When I approached the dressing room, the door was swung wide open and I missed the sign notifying customers of item number restrictions/restricting shopping carts. About half way through trying on clothes, an employee LOUDLY and AGGRESSIVELY began banging on the door. Half undressed, I was startled as she angrily screamed that I was not allowed to have a cart in the room. I was stunned and stammered that I had not noticed a sign. She sarcastically quipped “It is RIGHT on front of the door.” I simply just didn’t know because I have not used the dressing rooms since they reopened post-Covid. Let’s be clear, I was (mistakingly) not following policy and have no issue being corrected. But as someone who also works in customer service, delivery is everything. Has she been polite, or even just civil, I would have happily complied. Instead, I felt embarrassed and rushed. At checkout, a different cashier got snippy because the line had began to form opposite of the roped guiders. This happened, however, because their team decided to help two other customers who’s cart had blocked said guiders. I usually love this goodwill, but this shopping experience went from fun to degrading and stressful."
