Geek Squad

"This is a review for the GEEK Squad Back story: Dropped my computer off for over a week (mostly because every other day I was made aware of things I needed to buy in order to make progress on my computer so no issues there as I understand this part and this is not what the review is about). My complaint: Yesterday I dropped my computer off and was told it would have "priority status". I returned it after having work done (replacing the graphics card and power supply, which made it work until it was under too much load because the fans were not turning on so it over heated). With that being said, it could have been done today had they called me and let me know that they were waiting on a piece that I had that he found out he needed earlier today. I was ONLY made aware of this because I called up to check on my PC because I had not heard anything from them (which they called every other time to let me know how things were going and what I needed to do) and was told it would be done today by someone who checked it in . Long story short, it will not be done today because they did not make a simple phone call to let me know that I had something they needed to complete the job and probably would not have called me at all this day, prolonging the stay of my PC from what I was told. Bottom line, make sure you call in order to receive updates about your stuff so that the process can move forward in a timely manner since it probably would have added another day or two if it was not for me calling and checking in on my own stuff. ***This review is solely based on the experience today (being that a simple phone call did not happen in which it could have been finished today like I was told when I dropped it off). Experience for the overall process of fixing it has been better.***"

"Inexperienced Unknowledgeable Bad customer service Took my phone in for repair; it was just as bad 3 days later when I picked it up. I’m sure this has something to do with the fact that they literally argued with me about my issues claiming there weren’t any. Contacted apple support and they are sending a replacement. Geek squad was a huge waste of time. I definitely do not recommend them for diagnosis or repairs. Save your time and go a different route."

"Very good everything. The atmosphere, the service and staff, and best of all, the chicken fried steak, mash potatoes, gravy, the kernel corn, the dinner roll, and the unsweetened tea. I can't talk about the rest of the food because when my wife and I go there, we keep blowing our diet and getting the same thing, as listed above. But, one day, we plan on getting something else..... In reality,,, probably not."

"Came to get my screen repaired through my applecare+. Honestly the screen had minimal damage, but was told since the crack went a certain way that the suction cups wouldn’t be able to remove the glass without proceeding to bend the phone.. This was all decided within a blink of an eye. That I would have to instead receive a whole new device... So I paid $99 instead of $29. The techs should spend more time analyzing before making conclusions. Very quick to give customer the higher price. Even after paying for the additional coverage. When receiving new device I asked him if the device was refurbished and the response was “not exactly”... ?? I really do believe that the screen could’ve been repaired if taken the time, but was told i had to get a new phone out of lack effort."

"My worst and most inconvenient customer service experience. I had an appointment made by apple at this specific location. It was only a screen replacement but expectations were set for me that I may need to replace the whole device. (for someone who has worked at apple I knew it was all BS) manager Matthew Avila comes out tells me that he has the last screen in stock and tells me that my device will be ready in 2 hours. I went back to work and not even an hour past and I get a call saying that the device needs to be replaced because it didnt pass Apple’s Software test. I was like ok I will pay the price difference no biggie. Manager pretends to go in the back office to grab the device but comes out with “oh im sorry we dont have a replacement device apple will have to send us one. I ask them when it will be at the best buy and they tell me monday. I come back today on Tuesday and the device is still not shipped even though I was promised an expedited shipping and everything. Now I have a flight and I wont have my phone to attend any business calls. This is ridiculous. I dont know how geek squad is apple certified. I would not lost my patience if I wasnt promised all those things."
