"I would have done 5 stars, but the store has gone down a lot since last year. I shop there 3 times a week mostly. Yesterday I guess new manager the black lady followed me around like I was going to steal. I really like the store a lot hope it survives."

"I visited the South Lake store yesterday. I have been shopping at Macy's for 35 years and I've been to many different locations. I was sadly dissappointed at the lack of Customer Service. I passed by 4 associates and not 1 of them spoke to us!!! One sales lady finished ringing up her up customer, saw us in the cosmetic area, turned and went the other direction. I was very embarrassed because I brought my sister in to purchase her a few things. I had to call the sales lady over to ask her a question regarding a perfume I wanted to purchase, but decided not to due to her attitude. We browsed in the shoe department and the 2 ladies in the Herald Bistro made eye contact with us, and said hello. Needless to say, I'll order on line and definitely find a different Macy's to shop at. Please invest in some Customer Service skills for your employees. Shopping is usually fun and exciting time to spend with family and friends!"

"Miles of Freedom really appreciated the Fort Worth Market By Macys store for the opportunity and platform to share information about our work with those visiting the store. Market by Macys Give Back Celebration is beautiful way to connect nonprofits, department stores and people. Huge thanks to Doris Larroy-Haden and the staff in Fort Worth."

"While I was there on the day Jeff Gennette (Macy's CEO) was there and things were a bit over the top the concept is fantastic. I have struggled in department stores and generally avoid them, this store has a lot of potential especially in this area. when you enter the store you are a little overwhelmed it was well organized chaos. (I caution this statement because it could've been the new crews, the opening day fanfare) once you walk in the restaurant is off to the right, it appeared to be a QSR style, with lower calorie offerings. I did not try anything because the line was very long and people were discussing some of the growing pains they were dealing with being opening day and having the training staff. Standing in the entry way there is a wall that I feel shuffles you in to the chaos of people checking out, along with staff standing there to greet you, while I felt it was awkward once I got around it I realized there was an Getchell’s Apothecary, I They said it was a formulary to produce skincare products for individual needs, ended up buying some fine line cream because I bought into the hype, because the fine lines are annoying. The sinks are great idea while your trying things you can wash your hands clean at the end, something I did not realize I was missing until I had it. The staff was extremely helpful here and through out the store, there was a lot of staff shadowing other staff members and obvious training going on. Im not sure if it will continue but there were multiple older people that had staff members in tow holding clothing for them. Out front the nicer women clothing is up but you will not find anything for prom, nor are the replacing your formal dress however; I did not go through all the women clothes I just walked passed. The concept that caught my eye was the Carroll Emerald was a constant theme through out some of the clothes and that is obviously curated that way. Behind a the women's section is a dedicated section to a brand from Austin Texas, "Texas Standard", while I have never heard of them it was cool that they had a section for a semi local designer, the clothes were casual. They also have a designer from Dallas but I can't remember their name or if they were home goods or clothing, behind them were the name brands, like Polo, RL, Tommy, (some of the talk in the store was that Tommy was going to be designing a shirt especially for the Carroll Dragons so that will be interesting to see.) The kids clothing area had a big blocks and a large Lite Brite, its a great concept and wonderful idea for the parents to shop and kids to play while the parents shop. The kids selection of clothes is great and the age range is very appropriate. Next you will find a section called "Fit" It's essentially Ath-leisure wear, they have some Yoga mats, in front of "Fit" your back to the front of the store with more women's clothing. They have home goods as well where you its not clear if you can buy one plate or if you have to buy the whole group but honestly the way the store is designed to keep up with Amazon and I feel like it will. I am tired of buying 4 shirts and sending back 3. Market By Macy's truly sold everything. From culinary books, Cocktail trinkets, socks, denim, lotion, beer, wine, and the sink (not for sale but to wash your hands after touching everything) the only thing I did not see was bedding. I am sure you can buy things on line and ship it to that store but the concept will undoubtedly do amazingly well here in Southlake. Especially if they embrace the Carroll fanfare. This will be a home run for Southlake and for Macy's I bought something I did not need, so I bought into the hype, you should too."
