"We waited an hour to be seated and 45mins for the food. Average pizza and pasta, mussels were really good… we payed $120 for 4 dishes and 2 lemonades. Low quality service.. never coming back. I regret having dinner here."

"The aesthetic and ambiance were absolutely lovely. The menu was large and abundant with choices. I had an absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned salad, with a side of focaccia bread that was so crunchy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside. The honey butter that came with it was a really nice touch. My friend had a seafood dish he really enjoyed. We also shared the fried mozzarella balls which were tasty as well. I also loved that we could see fresh pizzas being made in the stone fire oven. I will definitely be back to try some of that. I don’t remember our server’s name but he was a younger gentleman who was so very polite, kind, helpful, and attentive. Great location too. It is within walking distance of several important downtown areas and attractions."

I didn’t think the next bite could be any better, the more things I tasted; the more I wanted to eat. It was absolutely mouthwatering. I wished I had better words. Houston is not always a fun trip with having treatment and medical appointments, but the Grotto was an excellent last minute decision. I will definitely be back!"
