"I keep seeing this place when I pass by going home. So I had to try it. The atmosphere is semi casual. The service was good. My waitress made sure I had everything I need. She also gave me some pointers on food. I got the Kushi Katsu for appetizer, that one was great. Then I had the Miso ramen. That was ok. Overall, it was satisfactory. I've been to quite a few ramen places and this was more catered to the regular American palette."
"First time dropping in, just happened upon the place as I was leaving another store. It’s a quaint little spot, with ample seating at the sushi bar. They have some traditional Japanese seating options as well. I ordered the house salad, which was fine, nothing special, but satisfying. Then the two sushi rolls came. The TNT was excellent, and the right amount of spice (as the name would suggest), the vegetables were crisp, and the fish tasted extremely fresh. The Volcano roll was the star of the show, it had baked scallops on top, they were next level. Like little pillows of happiness. I will be back often."
"A well known Japanese authentic sushi house in the old memorial drive neighborhood. It’s food is always authentic & satisfying. My recent visit was a little surprise to me. Not knowing if it’s a Wednesday night or hiring the best wait staff is a wide spread challenge! I always get the fotomaki and tomago there since not all Japanese restaurants would serve them. They are still good but just not spectacular any more. There are many newer & better places nearby. Izakaya Wa is just around the corner. Happy dinning."
"Always the best sushi in town. Consistent and u don't have to dress up either. Plenty of parking and the average ticket is 20 a person follow me on trip advisor under AUSAGUY007 for all my reviews"
"Sushi was fresh and server was nice during our meal. The chicken teriyaki had an interesting flavor and came with a strange side of potato salad. The prices are quite high for the portions. Would’ve given a 4-star rating, but we were chased down out front by our server who complained about our tip (10% before taxes). She said her manager would be angry with her and guilted/pressured my friend into amending the cc receipt. Never returning. A gratuity should be accepted with grace and shouldn’t be strong-armed by a server who would like repeat business. Bet the manager wouldn’t be happy knowing they’ve lost the future revenue this 4-top would’ve generated on return. This is literally the only time this has ever happened in my life and hopefully will be the last. **was curious about other reviews and apparently this has happened to several people!!"
