Reviews of On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina
"Our experience was top tier! Our server was Lawrence, he was on top of everything! Order came out exactly as ordered and came out very quickly. Shoutout to the back of house team, food tasted perfect! The manager stopped by our table a few times and helped with our refills. Overall great teamwork! Thank you!"
"My food I ordered was great, even the dessert. Until I went to eat the strawberry that came with the Strawberry Cheesecake Chimis. The strawberry had mold on it! Yea not so much mold is mold and I ain’t bout that. Check your produce before plating anything."
"Today’s experience at On the Border reminded me why I do not eat here. It started with trying to place the order online where it only gave me black beans as a bean option and my order that was 10.99 for whatever reason when I got to check out increased the subtotal to $13.32. Finally I just called. The lady, Tara, that I spoke with was the only positive part of the experience. When my food arrived the enchiladas were completely cold and the pre-packaged rice was not only cold but hard as well. The bean liquid was the only thing that was hot. I called them and it just got worse from there. Kylee said she would remake it but that was so gross I do not want to get the same thing now just warm. So she gave me my other enchilada option which none of them do I eat but I guess it’s my only option but at this point I just want a refund. That evidently is not an option. So now I am going to waste my time picking up beef with queso enchiladas that I don’t like and will not even eat. The manager brings my food and he is so hyper and wound up he does not hear a word I say when I tell him that. He takes my old food and tells me to have a nice day. I get out to my car and open it. Still this crunchy gross prepackaged rice and it is still cold. The beans are still bean soup but this time they are cold as well. I have a section with what appears to only be cheese but finally I find the enchiladas underneath. Guess what, yep, the cheese and the beef are all cold and the tortilla is crunchy and tastes of old grease. If this is the garbage they always serve I want to know how they stay in business. So from the time I started trying to place the order till I got the remake was 1 hour and 7 minutes wasted of my life and $13 spent on what ended up in the dog bowl"
"Grant was our server and pretty sure he was asleep, he even said sorry I’m tired when he picked up he was making us uncomfortable. The hostess was on meth, 100%. The food was terrible. We told grant my crane asada was rubbery and he said oh sorry and handed us our ticket. Check #70019. He never brought a manager to us. Feel free to refund our food."
"If you've never been here the food is basically Tex Mex. It's good so you should enjoy most things but nothing that particularly stands out but overall it's a good dining experience. Service is usually pretty good but on this occasion it wasn't bad it was just lacking. Not to say there were some servers busting their humps but ours was non existent and it wasn't even that busy. That being said it's still a decent place to go and eat and drink."
